Photo challenge #53. Hi everyone! Angie is away for a short trip and has asked me to be the hostess for this week's challenge. I am so honored to be doing this. Thanks, Angie!
Hats off to..................Hats. We've checked out what our shoes say about us, now lets look at what tops everything off. Lots of choices here! Construction hard hats, chefs hats, baby's bonnets, just keep your eyes open and use your imagination!
The firzt photo here is of my SIL wearing my sunhat. She looks a lot better in it than I do! The second photo is of what we call the dinosaur rock at my friends' cottage. After a few drinks, the men crowned 'dino' with a fishing hat!

I just found this thread.... Can anyone join in the challenges????
I have a LOVE of photography. In fact, if I could do any job, it would be photography.
I noticed there are several challenges... can you tell me how this works????
Hi Jennifer, welcome to the photo challenges. They are open to everyone, you can post photos anytime on any of the challenges.......the only criteria is that you post a photo that was taken after the challenge was issued. You can go back and catch up and do any/all of the challenges if you wish, in any order, or you can do this one. We are just a bunch of people who love photography and want to share. Do you know how to post a photo? If not, let us know and someone will walk you through it.
Hi Ina..I took these pictures a few days ago...wanted to retake them but never got around to redo them...so here they are...from diff angles)
This hat is what I call my "Carmen Miranda" hat...put quickly together a few years ago for halloween, using a souvenir beach hat from Mexico and then filled with plastic fruit and vegetables whenever I could find a spot! )...
A bit colorful..just like me...LOL
Paola, that is so cool! I love those photos! Wonderfully colorful! The fruit and veggies look real and very delicious!
Thank U Ina)
I'm off to my DD later on the afternoon for some turkey feast....it feels strange not doing it myself (for the first time evahhhhh!) but I am really happy about it too to go a a 'guest' for a change! LOL
I have a beautiful pict of my youngest GD wearing a hankichief (sp?) as a make shift hat this past summer...I should post it just because....
Aspengirl, I love the bear and that pink hat is such a contrast to the burly bear! Great photo!
Pam, I love those photos from the old time festival! There is so much detail in the one photo of the lady at the sewing machine! I love that hat with the flowers and also the old brooch and lace shawl and that great old sewing machine! The conductor's hat is super too! Thanks for sharing these photos!
Here's hubby wearin' a brand new hat while hanging out with Cone Monster! This is at the NC State fair this week. The "monster" caused a stir over the summer when he was discovered along a road in a construction zone and the creator was arrested for using actual DOT road cones... He was creative with them!

This isn't exactly the shot I had in mind - but I want to post this hat up on FreeCycle, and it is a hat! I knit it for a Tanzanian friend, but then she went home for longer than expected, and when she came back the weather was too mild for me to bother with giving it to her. And now she's gone back for good, so I need to re-home it. I don't have anything round suitable for displaying it on.
Location: in a far away land, with too much estrogen!!!!
Hi all! This is a pic of my oldest DD holding my youngest DD. It's sweet for 2 reasons.
It shows the 2 most important things in her life, her sister and her phone
And the hat, my mom travels the world and she bought this hat I think in Germany. It's such a sweet little hat!
We were apple picking and this was on the tractor ride out to the trees. My oldest was so protective of my baby, I just love it!
