Another great challenge Angie. I love the bright colors in your photo.
Audrey, fantastic photo of the bald eagle! I saw one of those in our area this year, but it was a rare sighting and I don't have the right camera equipment to get a good shot.

I just happened to go Blueberry picking yesterday. Of course I was taking pictures while everyone was picking. I think this was my favorite shot.
My picture for the week is a Bucket full of Blueberries, say that five times fast.

Here is my B picture. My 3yr old daughter planted sunflowers this year and is thrilled to see them growing. Looks like the bees are enjoying them too! See in the middle of the sunflower? Two Bees gathering pollen.

Smile "B' is for Boys...mine!

I took these shots at a gorgeous park in the heart of Seattle at Gas Works Park. So my "B" is for my boys! And I edited them in black & white as I thought it looked nice.

Smile B's and more B's!

So with the conversations about senior portraits and all..I was practicing shots with my son Joe as he will be a senior this year. He is such a good artist and very into media arts so I thought this graffiti BG would be an edgy and terrific photo based on who he is. As you will see in one of the pics part of the graffiti on the pic says "stay in school"..it was very appropriate for my son who is an awesome kid who "stays in school", is an honor roll kid, Varsity player and very anti- drugs or alcohol. You can be edgy with an urban flair and be a decent stand-up guy. He loved the way these poses/shots turned out..now I just have to learn about lighting and using settings etc...so we have a some time before senior photos are due. I posted these on my facebook and I had two people ask me if I do Senior Photos!! Wow was that a compliment for a gal who just leearning along the way!

All these pictures are great. Great challenge, Angie!

Connie, I like the flip flops at the edge of the water and the colors you captured.

Jamie, your sons are a good looking crew...aren't you missing one? lol. Nice black and white work/conversion.

Connie, I love the flip flops on the beach!
Jaimie, I love the Seattle boat photos and the pictures of your boys!
Here are a few of mine. I visited my DD and her BF in Toronto Thursday and got some shots of their bikes. The first one is of Ben and his bike, the next of the bike basket and slogan 'Bike lanes on Bloor' (lots of B's there!) and the last is of my DD's bike, which she inherited from her grandmother, who had imported it from Holland. It is a Batavius bike!

Smile Missing son..lol!

Yes there is one missing..lol! He slept in and missed the trip to Seattle. I felt guilty afterwards that he wasnt inthe photos. But its a good excuse for another photo journey! We live about 30 miles east of Seattle and go there at least 3x a week for basketball training so I have a mental list of where my next adventure is going to be with my camera! Thanks for the comments!

Jamie, how nice that your boys pose for you!!! My young adult kids won't even let me take photos of them... I have to use my telephoto and sneak pictures when they aren't paying attention.
Anyways they all look great! I especially like the first one of your son in front of the graffiti. It's a great shot! I also like that you made the group shots black and white. They look professional!

Ina, I love oma's bike! I was wondering if it was a bike from Holland. (obviously I looked at the photos before reading what you wrote). LOL

Connie, you must have a Dutch heritage to recognize that bike right away! I not only have a Dutch heritage, I was born there, but have spent most of my life in Canada.

Arggh - having major PC issues here. I knew I needed to upgrade, but by the time I looked at a motherboard, then I needed a new PSU, and to get a better graphics driver I needed to upgrade OS - so I've just ordered a whole new PC instead of upgrading my current one.
It keeps losing files - took a whole load of B photos this morning, uploaded and edited them and now they're not there. I hope my Blossoms and Buds stays put long enough for me to upload! And maybe I'll get a couple of the others back off the camera.

And another 3. I wasn't even trying, just kept falling over Bs this morning . I wasn't meant to be working either, I only got a call at ten last night asking me could I go in.
One green Bottle, with Bars in the background.

As I was positively buried in Bs this morning, that's all I'll upload here, but these, with details, and a few more are on my blog...This Post

Here's one more from me. Bird on a branch. My SIL drove up to take me out to lunch today and she was so excited to see the Osprey nest atop a hydro pole along the road. She was even more excited when I stopped and pointed out the bird in the tree and handed her the camera. Here's the photo she took. After I put the camera away and started to drive away, the male flew over the road and into the nest clutching a mouse in his claws. Too bad we didn't get a shot!

Just catching up a bit, because of all my PC problems.
Amber, I just love that sunflower. I planted mine too late, and they're not even budding yet. DH enjoyed the boat photos.
I added a few more B photos on my blog after I went shopping on Saturday morning.

Smile "B" is for Basketball!

Last weekend my boys and I went to a fabulous basketball game in Seattle where quite a few NBA players originally from Seattle came home to play for their former high schools in a tournament with current and former alumni. It just so happens that one of the two in the finals was the school I went to. I had the best time taking photos and was allowed to be on the floor by the staff. I was then asked by the event organizer if I would take photos of the Trophy presentations and also how they could "accquire" my photos! WOW!!
One funny note, was that while I was down on the floor "playing photographer"..lol I was right under the hoop snapping away..and suddenly I got PUMMELED by about a 275lb player! There I was like a turtle on its back literally stunned!! My immediate reaction was to SAVE my CAMERA!! I had it up and away in the air...SAFE!! LOL! The whole entire crowd(were talking at least 2000 people) were in hysterics!! I quickly hopped back up acting like I do this all the time..lol and got right back to taking pics while inside I was just dying of embarrassment!! What a day but boy did I get some great photos!!

1- A NCAA college player dunking
2- Jamal Crawford of the NY Knicks driving it to the hoop
3- Nate Robinson of the NY Knicks Dunking it! (Won slam dunk contest twice in NBA all star weekend!)

Hehe, yep! I've been wanting to do it for a while, and I'm down to my last 2.5 weeks so figured I'd better get on the ball. The "B" challenge really got me motivated, so THANKS!

Jamie, I LOVE how those little boys are crouching down during the dunk in the middle shot of your second post - too cute! And the scoreboard in one of them said "Bulldogs" (for another "B!")

Great pics everyone!

Terrific, and I especially like the little blueberry who isn't blue.

They look so interested - child-friendly museums and exhibitions are wonderful. I can remember taking a friend's young son to one of the museums here, and all the cases were solid for quite high up, so I kept having to lift him up to see the exhibits.
