Beautiful photos Angie, and it looks like such a peaceful and relaxing place to visit! Like you, I love gardens, but at this time of year, there is not much to see around here! I will go to some of my other regular haunts and see what I can come up with!

This is also Hatchers Pass and the same areas as above, just taken last summer. The buildings in the 3rd picture are all from the former mine that used to be here. Its now a state park called Independence Mine. Very cool to go and explore. Excuse the time stamp on them...at the time I had no clue that was even on.

Thank you Karrie! I dont have anything fancy, just an Olympus C-720.
Winter is my favorite season so Alaska is just right for me If I could have snow 365 days of the year I would be very happy. However, my husband and kids would leave me, LOL

Lisa I love your winter pictures!!

Right now there is nothing nice to take paictures of, the grass is still not green, and everything looks yucky and dirty.

Beautiful photos! Love all the snow and winter shots. It's fun seeing the same place in different seasons too.

One of my faves to go shoot at is Balboa Park in San Diego. Here are some from yesterday.

Lisa, that Hatchers Pass is breath-taking, anytime of year it seems. My most fav photo is the middle one overlooking the green valley with the white flowers in the foreground! You are going to have to post it in fall as well!

Oh Conni those frosty snow-covered trees are magnificent! WOW!

Lisa, the wedding couple is so sweet and the sax guy - I can hear the music! And I love the way you can see the pink shirt reflecting on the water ripples of the fountain. Stunning! I can see why you frequent there!

Lovemy2boys - those are wonderful sunrise photos! Ahhhh.... nothing more peaceful then watching the sunrise on over the ocean. And welcome! Glad you joined in with us! Hope to see more photos from you!

Hannah, your photos are wonderful! Looks like a lovely park. I especially love the first one!

It's the Elizabethan Gardens in Manteo, NC. (near the Outer Banks) We were there again last weekend. I'm still going through all my pics but I'll post a few more then.

A few from our recent trip to the Outer Banks. LOVE going there! The lighthouse is Currituck and the statue is from the Elizabethan Gardens. And I couldn't believe how many starfish we found along the beach on this trip!

I'm lucky enough to have a membership to our zoo. (And even better than that, a friend with a membership and a camera too!-- so ponygirl and I schedule regular photo safari trips while the kiddies are at school! Is THAT lucky or what?)

Here are two favorite shots from recent trip - the baby elephant was just a month old! (More pics from that trip on my BLOG today!)

I love the state of Maine (I live in NY) and always get out to photograph the lighthouses... I just want to share two of Portland Head Light. One taken in the summer and one in the winter when a storm was coming in...

Default Botanic Gardens

I love the Botanic Gardens - we try to go every month from April on to September.
I don't think we've ever been as early as February before...

Easy to see that this squirrel is in one of the borders
A miniature magnolia in one of the glasshouses
I have way, way too many photos of the robins in our garden, but still ended up with a bunch more on Saturday.

And here's a card I made today using a crop from a backlit cyclamen in the Alpine House.

Sabrina, great photos! Loved your card to and will be using it to give my SIL inspiration. She's a great photographer and still uses film, so ends up with a lot of extra photos. She just adheres them to a card, but I think she will like this kind of card making.
BTW, on your first photo, the information sign in the garden is all wrong! That's no orchid
