Default Photo Challenge #176 ~ Cutting Edge ~ {05/07/2013}

Today's challenge is something that we should all have to hand!
Not cutting edge technology - cutting edge scissors!
I had fun with this - I discovered that scissors are surprisingly photogenic, and wished I had had a bit more time.

Photo Challenge Rules:
~ Have FUN with this! There are no right or wrong photos.
~ Take as many pics as you want, share the few you like best.
~ Please share only current photos, taken after the challenge was issued.
~ We CANNOT upload our photos to the SCS galleries. You may upload them as an attachment or host them from your blog or any online photo hosting site. Just provide the direct link to the photo in your post and also make sure that it is not from a password protected album.
~ Just a reminder that we are a family-friendly site if you are sending others off this site to view photos in an album hosted elsewhere.
~ Please jump in and join us in the photo challenges at any time!
~HAVE FUN

We have some of my kitchen scissors, my sewing scissors (though I couldn't find my pinking shears anywhere ), and basic and decorative scissors from my craft room.
What sort of scissors have you got??

O.K., I'm away from home on holiday in Texas! And would you believe I have 4 scissors with me? The large green handled one is from my emergency sewing kit, the two middle sized ones happened to be in my little card making tote, which I took with me as I needed to make a birthday card here. The wee little one is always in my purse. I love the size and the fact that it has a cover for the sharp ends.

I like all your scissors. You didn't fly to Texas Ina? I will try and photograph something tomorrow or next week.

Yes, I flew to Texas. I fractured and dislocated my shoulder in February and still don't have enough strength and mobility in my left arm to drive longer distances.

I thought you would have flown but was surprised that you were allowed to take scissors on the plane. But then I haven't been on a airplane since the day I flew out here in 1995.

My goodness, Ina! I usually have two pairs when we're on holiday, but 4, I don't think I've ever taken that many anywhere.
Which reminds me, I should take a photo of the one in my "credit card" penknife.
I have a pair like your little snips but I don't find them easy to use - you obviously do! I hope you're having a great time with your family down there.

I didn't realize I had the little snips in my purse until I arrived here, but I got told that if they are under 4 inches it is o.k. to take them in your carry-on. They are not he easiest to use, but fabulous in an emergency.

Here are my samples. The first image- on the top is the cutting tool for making fake chenille and my little snippets I use when sewing. Second row is my brand new utility knife, a neighbor somehow broke my other one. Bottom row is an exacto knife with cover, rotary cutter with decorative blade, pinking shears that I don't use for sewing, yellow cutterbees, a cheese knife I think and large scissors that were given to me and I use for cutting pizza. The second image shows three different paper cutters, the two small ones I rarely ever use.
