Ha! It's pretty un spring-like here too! We were riding into work in snow on Tuesday morning from my aunt's place - not fun for DH on the motorbike. And today there are reports of heavy flooding all over and trees down in high winds. I'll see what I can find when the rain stops ;D, even if it's only the sweet-pea seedlings I bought and then had to swaddle in horticultural fleece to protect them.
For what it's worth, someone with no sense at all decreed that the Irish spring technically starts on 1st Feb, St. Brigid's Day. No way!!!
This is what Spring looks like here Ina. I just took this photo this morning about 11 or so. It was snowing like crazy and these little birds were taking cover under our overhang on our deck. Can you see the streaks? That is it snowing!
Just saw this and thought i would share the photo.
Happy Saturday!

Looks like our springs are similar......still wintery! Those birdies on the thermometer are so cute. I did see my first robins this week....in the snow.
Here are two photos of many I took today from my back door this morning after 4 " of snow. The wierd one, I took with my Mini iPad. You can put it on Kaleidoscope to take photos. Didn't know that!
Ina, I didn't see your photos before. They are great. I love how you captured the snow coming down. I could take dozens of photos of the snow. I love it. You can see on my photos that the sun is shining.
So wierd.

Sharon, I love your kaleidoscope photo! I wonder if my camera can do something like that? Snow is so beautiful when it is fresh.....it just covers a multitude of junk and dirt!

Ina, I found that option in "Photo booth" on my iPad.

Love all your spring photos but sure glad our spring hasn't been like that! Will post what I took on the 20th not even realizing it was the first day of spring.

My goodness, Sharon - that's some snow! The kaleidoscope effect is really cool.
I still haven't taken any - it's been too wet to take the camera out. I had to strip down to my underwear when I got home from work the other day .
Well, here are my Spring photos. Hope I don't overwhelm y'all or make you too jealous I think this is probably one of the first challenges where I've been ready. Here are some.

I AM jealous - but what lovely photos to see! I made a yellow and blue card this week to satisfy my need for those spring colours - these help too. And the blue skies, oh my!
Are those actually California poppies or something that looks very like them?
Envious I may be, but thank you so much for that shot of heat and colour.
Sabrina, the flowers in front of the club house are African Daisies. Some of the flowers in the other pictures are California poppies and often called Mexican poppies. Glad you enjoyed them.

Beautiful photos! I am jealous, too! Can't wait for real Spring weather!

Almost non-stop snow today, though the ground is too warm for it to lie.
I did spot these forsythia this morning, and the second photo is from yesterday morning. Sums up what I feel about Spring this year - it's there, but it's still sort of "behind bars".

I'm glad to say it's a bit more spring-like this week - but this photo was taken on my way to work one morning last week. It was as cold and grey and miserable as it looks!
Sabrina, at least you have blooming daffodils! Oops, I just looked at the photo postings I have missed! I love your photo of the flowers behind bars!.
Audrey, I love all your beautiful photos. |Those yellow flowers are so sunny and warm looking. I could use some of that warm right now. I have felt so cold the last few days!

Me too! I was so sad for whoever was organising a Japanese Cultural event two weekends ago and there wasn't a speck of cherry blossom to be seen. I always think it looks fabulous against a blue sky.
But what doesn't!!
