Default Photo Challenge #167 ~ F is for what takes your Fancy {12/12/2012}

Like Ina two weeks ago, I still haven't got a photo taken but I wanted to get the challenge posted. I sure hope life will quieten down a bit some time soon! And that we'll have some better light - today was dull grey from start to finish, with rain in the afternoon to make it worse.
We'll have a letter challenge this time round, so anything you like that starts with F - fur, fish, fishing, feathers, fog, frost, friends, flowers...whatever you fancy! I didn't realise we'd already done S so I was busy taking photos suitable for that earlier on the week; back to the drawing board tomorrow!.
What Fun Finds can you come up with to Fit the challenge?

Photo Challenge Rules:

When we were in Paris for our anniversary this summer I bought a lovely wool scarf with a furry fringe. Just now is the time to get it out, our cold weather has really arrived and my regular scarf just wasn't keeping the back of my neck warm!

A flower arrangement in the window of a funeral home I pass near work.

Some felt ornaments from a kit. Well, the lower one is pretty much from the kit. I cut the poinsettia from my own felt with the Spellbinders die and stitched it on with fly stitch and two strands of gold floss for the upper one.

Oops, i forgot to look for a challenge earlier this week. Must get my camera out and get busy. I'm visiting my son in Texas, but it's hardly any warmer than back home.

Sabrina, I went from smiling at your furry fringe, to a real take back on seeing the funeral parlor! Your felt ornaments are pretty too. I haven't been thinking of things that start with an F, but I did buy a new purse yesterday (well, my son calls it a suitcase, as it is large enough to hold my laptop.) It is faux leather. We also have some fruit on a shelf here!

Lovely bag! You have me hankering after a fruit salad now, with a dash of lime juice to give it some extra bite. That's a great photo .

F for the four seasons. These are sculptures by Peter Haas.

Nothing live about them. Winter which is in the back on the left has a lemon that is the size of a small child. Counter clockwise from winters is summer, spring and then fall. These were quite large. I took this with my 24-85mm lens set at 24. A couple of weeks ago I bought a 10-24mm wide angle lens and think I will go back to the Botanical Garden to see if I can do better. Hope you are enjoying your Christmas.

Oh gosh, those are amazing. I know that somewhere in the back of my mind is the correct technical term for those objects/images created with flowers and fruit like that, but it's well stuck in the back of my mind! I've often seen drawings, but never 3D sculptures.

All I know is that they are acrylic sculptures and Phillip Haas was inspired by the Italian Renaissance artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo's painting series The Four Seasons.
