Default Photo Challenge 162 'Your Choice' {Oct. 4,2012}

Well, I am late again too....just realized today that I should have posted on Tuesday. I had a challenge in mind, but didn't get a chance to get out and take pictures, so I am going to leave this up to you. Right now, the fall colours are fabulous around here and there are so many opportunities for fantastic photos. So just go out this week and take the most interesting/beautiful photos that you can. Enjoy!
Photo Challenge Rules:
~ Have FUN with this! There are no right or wrong photos.
~ Take as many pics as you want, share the few you like best.
~ Please share only current photos, taken after the challenge was issued.
~ We CANNOT upload our photos to the SCS galleries. You may upload them as an attachment or host them from your blog or any online photo hosting site. Just provide the direct link to the photo in your post and also make sure that it is not from a password protected album.
~ Just a reminder that we are a family-friendly site if you are sending others off this site to view photos in an album hosted elsewhere.

Have fun!

My photos!
1. A photo taken this week as I was driving from my friend's house. So many brilliantly coloured trees. I will be getting out again in the next few days to take some more fall pics.
2. A sunrise photo over my lake. My neighbour and I have been walking early in the morning most days during the week, and at one point decided to time our walks with sunrise time.
3. Another sunrise photo.

Another sunrise photo, almost across the road from my house. Sure wish I had water frontage!
The second photo was taken in August. It is in my brother's garden, and he found a couple of tomato worms. This was one with his granddaughter in the background. I think it is a really cool photo!

I'll try and get a couple of interesting photos. The weather is so variable; yesterday was gorgeous and I took a bunch of photos just between the post office and work. Today was dull boring grey. I can see the grey skies in your tree photo, but at least you have enough sunshine to make the trees look good .
The sunrise photos are lovely - the last one with the little jetty is my favourite. I hope I never see anything like that tomato worm in real life - it looks HUGE. And so well camouflaged, too.

That photo of the cattails - I am green with envy. I can't tell you how much time I have spent trying to get a halfway decent picture of some. The light in it is fabulous.
The third picture is totally amazing, too.
I took a few this morning, but it will have to wait till later on when I'm upstairs at my PC to upload and edit them.

Well--which spider---I hope you saw the one in the third photo(the reflection one) and the critter in the 4th photo is not a spider.....commonly called "daddylonglegs" his real name is harvestman or longshoreman....he only has one main body part while true spiders have 3.
glad you like the cattails....that was an early morning shot and the sun actually came through for me.

Pansy, I did not know that about spiders! See, I can learn something in this forum!
I took some more photos today. I was going to go for a drive to see fall colours, but the sun disappeared before I could get out. However, this morning, when my neighbour and I returned from our walk, we noticed the cool way the leaves on her tree had red along the borders and green or yellow on the inside, so I went across the road to get my camera. I didn't need to go far for great fall colours!

Here crane flies are what we call Daddy Long Legs - very like your photo, Pansy, but with wings.
Yesterday was a sunny morning and I had a good start by spotting a cormorant silhouetted under a bridge on the way to work.

I don't know for sure exactly what they are, I think they're something to do with electricity, but all the normally grey "boxes" are breaking out in fun covers at the moment.

I think the offices that are "To Let" are in the back of the church building - they're certainly actually part of it, so it amused me to spot the sign.

Weathered wood on an abandoned shop.

A fun poster - though I still can't quite work out what the caption is meant to mean . I love the imagination in the artwork, though.

I don't know......it still is a cool poster and image..... thanks for sharing.
