that is AWESOME!!! I just got a DSLR for Christmas and the top thing on my list that I need for it is a macro lens.

Love all the reflections! So much creativity here!

I'm finally catching up after having been out of town for the holidays. Here are a few of my favorite reflections:

The first is of my daughter looking in a christmas ornament, the second is of a sun clock at Kitt Peak Observatory near Tucson, AZ, and the third is my parent's dog, Shadow, with his shadow and reflection in a pond outside of Ft. Worth, TX.

I got a new digi cam for christmas and am looking forward to adding my shots to the challenges. Unfortunately, my home computer went down a week before christmas so I have no way to upload yet.

But my reflections shot is similar to Jessica's. Will post it as soon as I can.

The easiest way is to have it appear as a clickable thumbnail attachment. See Kurtis's instructions in Reply #2 here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/fo...d.php?t=216087

If you want your photo to appear actual size within your post, you need to host the image elsewhere, for example, on your own server or somewhere like PhotoBucket. (I don't use PhotoBucket, so I don't know their restrictions of use, if any.) After you have uploaded the photo elsewhere, you can copy its URL and use the "Insert Image" icon to include it in your message.

I've wanted to try this challenge ever since it was first posted. This is light reflected through the bottom of a cut glass bowl.

Default Can anyone explain how to make a thumbnail attachment appear larger?

Mustardseed, I'm glad it worked. That's a neat photo. The surface of the water is reflecting nearly as well as a mirror.

I don't know whether you uploaded it that pixel size, or whether the SCS servers compress images automatically to reduce them. Maybe someone else can explain how that works...? At any rate, I'd love to see your image larger if you wanted to try to upload another size.

ETA: I've just checked the max size for jpg attachments. It's 640 px wide by 800 px high, 195.3 KB.

I was disapointed. I'm not sure how to make it larger though. Here's a link to it on my flickr. It is on the lake out at Denare Beach in Manitoba. Our friend's took us on a boat ride. http://www.flickr.com/photos/shauna-...ay/2784131365/

the first 2 are an elephant seal playing in a large tide pool. the one where's he's yelling, that reflection isn't so good but him yelling is fabulous. i'm sure you could here him for miles. the one with his head straight up is a better refection. he was making strange throat noises here. male elephant seals can get up to 6000 pounds! the third one the boat reflection is nice. i have a bunch more from this week but i won't torture you with them in an older thread, lol. all of these taken in san luis obispo county in california

Catching up on some missed challenges. This is one of my favourite 'go to places' for photography.......the river in our town and the former flour mill, now turned into condos. the first photo is of the condos across the road and I love the blurred reflection. The second reflection is nice and crisp!

Thanks Joyce, I love living here. The town is small..........about 12,000 inhabitants. And I don't even live in town. I live about 5 miles out, three houses from a lake and around the corner from a golf course. Lots of scenic places to photograph!
