Default Hot weekend pictures!

Ok, not those kind. LOL I was asked by our local Volunteer Fire Department to take pictures of a training they had on Sunday. They burned an old abandoned house for practice. I had alot of fun and was totally impressed.

Nice pictures! .... Ah, yes! I remember those days - DH used to be captain and training officer with a volunteer fire dept. for the first years of our marriage. It was a fun time.

I love that first picture!

I used to be a volunteer FF/EMT and training burns like that were so much fun. You could always count on just about everyone in the dept to show up.

Awesome photos!

My husband has been on our local fire department for a long time now. He is in both of pictures. I used the continous setting in my camera to capture the movement of the flames and shot 500 pictures during the exercise. They are going to use the pictures to show how the flames spread in a structure.
Thanks Lisa, that one is my favorite as well.

Great pictures! I have a folder in 'My Pictures' on my computer just for Fires. But....you just put me to shame! We live on a lake and the neighbors gather all the driftwood and junk in our cove just before they raise the lake level in the spring and we get together and do a bonfire. It never fails, even though we get a burn permit, someone sees the fire from the freeway and calls the FD. They always come out with sirens blaring! Last year they recommended calling them just before we start the fire! Anyway, I always take pictures and 'THOUGHT' they were good until I just saw yours. Sounds like a good excuse for me to get a new camera? Think dh would go along?
