Happy Thanksgiving to you too! You made it home safe and sound, obviously? No Salmonella?
My middle got kinda sick sat night, but it's mostly because he swims like a rock and took on quite a bit of water at the pool!!! But as far as meat-borne illnesses go, we faired ok!!! You?
Speaking of deer, this is what was in my neighbors front yard the other day. One if the things that I love about my new neighborhood. Have also seen raccoons (eating the cast food), a fox, and skunk.
Linda
Isn't that amazing? We have a lot around here, too, and they're becoming very comfortable being close to homes. One of my neighbors said he heard a lot of commotion behind our houses the other night and turned on a light to check it out. He saw two males with their antlers locked, trying to get themselves apart, and about 10 females surrounding them, right behind the fences around our yards. I didn't realize there were that many deer so close to my house! I knew there were a lot down the street on the grounds of the National Institutes of Standards and Technology (yes, the federal government makes the deer very comfortable), but in my own back yard??
Location: In my stamp room getting ink on my fingers!

We have a lot here above Baltimore too. I think they were here before the neighborhood and they still use their old pathways...they just happen to be through our yard now. And don't let anybody tell you there's plants that they don't eat...THEY EAT IT ALL!

We did good, too.... ate way too much, though. Where *exactly* were you guys? We went to Lethbridge...
We get them alot by me but not up to the house. I live in a neighborhood but we have wetlands and a river, so we see a lot of them. We have skunks, raccoons...
He is in the military - he doesn't walk around killing people obviously (other than those in computer games), I meant when he is deployed and at war of course
Still recovering from spinal fusion surgery and can't teach full time yet - so now I am tutoring math: K-adult.
I have taught 7 & 8 and high school and tutored in everything from elementary math, to test prep, to college algebra and calculus.
You are brave! A class full of middle schoolers frightens me. Maybe that's because my very first substitute teaching job was on a five day school trip to NYC with an 8th grade magnet program. I was the chaperone for a group of 7 kids and accompanied them on their tour of the city. Scary intro to being a substitute!
Occasionally. I saw twin (I think) juveniles just down my street last winter. It's very neat to see them, however, I'm terrified of hitting one when traveling at night! Did you know their eyes don't glow which is why there are so many fatal accidents with them!

How funny!! MY first day subbing was a half day of kindergarten - I thought 'how hard could it be..." O-M-G!!! Never again!
Middle schoolers are all over the place - you can have a really great, mature class, or a VERY immature, rowdy, disrespectful one.
