Default Where to start

Like Popeye would say..."I've had all I can stands and I can't stands no more"

I'm just letting go and I'm glad there is a place to let it all out.

The past 8 months have been torture. I was divorced, lost my job, lost my dog, lost my home, moved in with my grandparents and 2 weeks ago...my grandmother passed away. Now that my grandmother isn't around to need taking care of...my grandfather wants me to get back on my feet and be independent...move out. No money...no job...no where to go. I haven't created in months. I'm a mess. I'm open to suggestions and thoughts.

Oh Lisa! I'm so sorry to hear all this has happened to you!!! Are there any other family members you could stay with until you could find a job and get back on your feet? And as far as a job - have you tried looking into temp agencies? I know the job market isn't the best right now - but I've had luck with temp jobs turning into permanent jobs. And then there is always the possibility of going back to school? Or do you have some things that you could sell to help you get back on your feet? Or a friend that you could share rent with?

Dear Lisa, extremely sorry for all you are going through and especially want to extend my sincerest sympathies for the passing of your grandmother. So terribly sad that your grandfather is not willing to have you stay with him. Cannot imagine how you must be feeling right now and can only pray God will make a way for you where there seems to be no way. Please know they are good people in this world who care and hope God will put some of those caring people in your path to help. Perhaps contacting a good church might be an option to give direction and resources.

Sending much love and hugs.

Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm going to be able to stay here...my grandfather is just going through the biggest loss of his life and he's very angry. They were married 73yrs and together for 78...and knew each other since the 5th grade. She was 95 and I think her loss was sort of the straw that broke the camels back for me. I'm feeling much better today...but still dealing with a lot of grief in my life. I've decided to do career testing and go back to school. Eventually I have to get back on my feet...the sooner I start the sooner I'll be standing again.

Lisa, grateful to hear that you will be able to stay with your grandfather. Surely, after all those years, this must be incredibly hard for him. May God bless both of you.
