Michele- Congrats to your nephew. I remember how concerned you were about him joining. Take care!

I received this in an e-mail today! I figured it was perfect for here!

Feeling Down
It is OK to feel whatever we do feel about our circumstances. After all, God created us to have feelings. We can bring our feelings, whatever they may be, safely to God and allow him to lead us through them.

Michele - glad things are better with your DD. How exciting for your nephew! He really sounds like a wonderful young man!!!

Joan - that is a good quote. I should keep that handy for those down days.

And on another positive note - look what Marie has accomplished:

My DS, the one that lives with us, just had his hours cut in half. This kid just can't get a break. HE was let go by a company and was out of work for 16 months. He has worked for the current company for 18 months. He needs to find a job with a stable company. He is depressed.

Joan, sadly with the obamacare laws/costs, many businesses are having to cut employee hours to stay in business. Please tell your son to just hang in there, God has better days coming.

Today will be an interesting day! We are supposed to attend a family cancer fundraiser. My brother and his wife both did of lung cancer. DS needs to take his GF to work and back. Dh is driving a little in the neighborhood. However, the party is 25 miles away on a busy hwy. The main reason I want to attend is the fact that most of my family will be there. Since my parents have died we just don't get together. We shall see!

DH, oldest DS and I went to the family fundraiser. DS drove so I paid the cover fee for him. I saw 3 brothers and their wives that I haven't seen in at least a yr. They all commented on my weight loss. So that felt good. One of them told me to keep trying to lose weight. I told him I was. He told me to try harder. I was a bit perturbed. But I considered the source.

A woman I've known since I was 11 (I'm nearly 28 now, so a LONG time) has been asking friends if they'd donate eggs, as she cannot produce. I owe her so much, she helped me throughout school with bullies and helped me deal with my parents abusing me. She's also one of the few people who has stuck with me after I became disabled 5 years ago.

She'll be such a wonderful Mum that I've said that I will get in touch with the hospital (which is in my current town) and see if I'd be a viable donor. I'm praying with all my heart to the Gods that I can do this for my friend, but would really appreciate good thoughts from all over, she deserves it so much, she's amazing beyond words. <3

Thank you! In the end, if I can't do it, the main thing is that SOMEBODY can donate eggs for her. And that is what I am focussing on. I'll be phoning first thing in the morning, and finding out what needs to be done.

Some chuckles that hope bring a smile or two....

Children in Church

A little boy was in a relative's wedding.
As he was coming down the aisle, he would take two steps,
Stop, and turn to the crowd.
While facing the crowd, he would put his hands up like claws and roar.
So it went, step, step, ROAR, step, step, ROAR, all the way down the aisle.
As you can imagine, the crowd was near tears from laughing so hard
By the time he reached the pulpit.
When asked what he was doing, the child sniffed and said,
"I was being the Ring Bear."

One Sunday in a Midwest City ,
A young child was "acting up" during the morning worship hour.
The parents did their best to maintain some sense of order in the pew
But were losing the battle.
Finally, the father picked the little fellow up
And walked sternly up the aisle on his way out.
Just before reaching the safety of the foyer,
The little one called loudly to the congregation,
"Pray for me! Pray for me!"

One particular four-year old prayed,
"And forgive us our trash baskets
As we forgive those who put trash in our baskets."

A little boy was overheard praying:
"Lord, if you can't make me a better boy, don't worry about it.
I'm having a real good time like I am."

A Sunday School teacher asked her little children, as they were on the way to church service, "And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?"
One bright little girl replied, "Because people are sleeping."

A little boy opened the big and old family Bible with fascination,
Looking at the old pages as he turned them.
Then something fell out of the Bible.
He picked it up and looked at it closely.
It was an old leaf from a tree that has been pressed in between the pages.
"Mama, look what I found," the boy called out..
"What have you got there, dear?" his mother asked.
With astonishment in the young boy's voice he answered,
"It's Adam 's suit".

The preacher was wired for sound with a lapel mike,
And as he preached, he moved briskly about the platform,
Jerking the mike cord as he went.
Then he moved to one side,
Getting wound up in the cord and nearly tripping before jerking it again.
After several circles and jerks,
A little girl in the third pew leaned toward her mother and whispered,
"If he gets loose, will he hurt us?"

Six-year old Angie , and her four-year old brother, Joel , were sitting together in church. Joel giggled, sang and talked out loud.
Finally, his big sister had had enough.
"You're not supposed to talk out loud in church."
"Why? Who's going to stop me?" Joel asked.
Angie pointed to the back of the church and said,
"See those two men standing by the door?
They're hushers."

My grandson was visiting one day when he asked ,
"Grandma, do you know how you and God are alike?"
I mentally polished my halo, while I asked,
"No, how are we alike?"
"You're both old," he replied.

A ten-year old, under the tutelage of her grandmother,
Was becoming quite knowledgeable about the Bible.
Then, one day, she floored her grandmother by asking,
"Which Virgin was the mother of Jesus ? The virgin Mary or the
King James Virgin ?"

A Sunday school class was studying the Ten Commandments.
They were ready to discuss the last one.
The teacher asked if anyone could tell her what it was.
Susie raised her hand, stood tall, and quoted,
"Thou shall not take the covers off the neighbor's wife."

Thanks ladies- I am a bit better. I know that it is stress related. Between Dh still unable to work since March and me going back to work. I am not back to my positive self.

Hello ladies, I do miss you all and finding I am starting to enjoy some things again and it's fun when I get to see Chris but his world is even more stressed than mine. He lost his wife has a 17 year old and 8 year old (girls) and 17 is mad (well I understand that, lol) OF course the little one is more open in 5 months it has changed so much used to be tears all the time (from him) and now we laugh a good amount and he asked me over for a camp fire we go under the term "friends" but let's be serious .... He is just hurt and is nervous about the whole relationship thing. We talked until 1:30 am on Sunday and we both admitted we had heard things from God about continuing to see each other and both of us are still healing but it was overwhelming to hear that God was and is talking to both of us. I just hope he can continue to heal and move forward more... It stinks being afraid of being hurt....

Ok, that's my vent and I love you all very much and miss you very much I am going to be better at checking in here..... HUGS

Hello everyone, have been in Iowa for the past week visiting Coles Foundation families and it was a wonderful one. Somewhat bittersweet meeting three families who no longer have their sweet precious child.

Never saw sooooooo many corn fields in my life!

Hi Michele! It's so good to hear from you again. I've thought of you so often and have said a little prayer each time the Lord has brought you to mind!

Joan - Is it possible to take a few days off, as Linda suggested? I am sorry you are dealing with so much.

As some of you know, my hubby was in the UK this past week. I really missed him. So glad he is home, safe and sound!

Joanne and Linda- Thanks!

I worked today with my boss. It amazes me how nice she can be to me when co-workers aren't around. I worked 4 1/2 hours. She even sent me home with danish and muffins. Tomorrow, she will be back to her old self. But for today it was fun!
