Was so very blessed and privileged to have Aaron (Coles Foundation), his wife, Moireen and three little girls stay with us for a couple of days. It was so nice to have a four year old, a two year old and an eighth month old around our home, so very cute and precious.

They left late yesterday afternoon and it was a tearful parting. Hope to see them again.

I'm smiling today. The sun is shining, there's not much of a wind, yet, and it's 45°. Starting to see the lawn again after the snow we had this past weekend. Have the back door open to air out the house. Still a bit chilly to keep it open for too long, but it sure is nice to have some fresh air.

When I got home from work this afternoon, my back door was open. Vince was airing out the house and the dogs loved the freedom of going outside whenever. I didn't think it was supposed to get this warm today. It is now 50°. Heat wave!!

I have 25 Christmas cards done already. I'll be ready this year. The newest design is in my gallery. I used this week's card sketch. I think I'll make more of that sketch.

I wonder if I can talk Vince into eating Chinese tonight. I have such a craving for it. Better go do some eye-batting because I'm hungry.

Hello ladies!

Gramma ~ So happy for you that it's warming up. That eye batting really works on the guys, doesn't it! LOL They're so easy!

Just doing laundry today. I've been so lazy lately. Not productive at all.

I bought a heated mattress pad for our bed, and we LOVE IT! It's so nice to get into a warm cozy bed, rather than the freezing sheets that used to make us say bad words.

Woke up with a migraine this morning. Finally got rid of it though. Just want to veg. I think I'm going to take a break from exercising today.

I've been getting down a lot lately. I see my psycho soon. Think I might ask him about raising my dose again. DH agrees. I'm just sort of treading water. Ya know?

Hope you all have a great day!

Hugs,
Sue

Sue, hope you're feeling much better. The eye batting didn't work. We ended up having pizza delivered. Vince has been sick with a bad cold all week, and even though he was feeling better earlier in the day, didn't feel like going anywhere.

The snow is gone on the upper tier of the backyard and the front yard. We still have a couple piles of ice right off the back deck. Looks like we might have to chisel away on it and get it out of there. Lexi will miss them. She like to climb on them. If it's warm enough, she can dig into the side of one of the piles. The forecast is calling for more snow today. Hoping very much it's wrong. I'm sure we'll have at least one more good snow storm around Easter. We usually get one then.

I don't want to go to work today. Not that I don't like my job, but I just don't want to go anywhere. Just want to stay home and stamp and study. I sure wish I hadn't taken a break from my studies. It's harder to get back into the groove, but I'm so close to finishing my medical transcription course. I'm working on one test now and then I think I only have 6 more to do. Guess I better get back to it while I have time before work.

Hope you all have a great day.

Sue, we have one. If you put your jammies between the sheets, makes them all snuggly too I very rarely use my side of the warmer. DH uses it EVERY night. Enjoy it!

Michele, hope your migraine goes away. Try a little more caffeine. One of Vince's doctors told him to have caffeine when he gets a headache. That's why migraine meds have caffeine.

I don't like getting into a cold bed, but once I'm warmed up I kick off the blanket and use only a sheet.

We didn't get the snow predicted yesterday, just rain. Looks like we're supposed to get it this weekend.

I am home from spring break. It was fun to get away. Dh and I even got along the whole time. I tested his patience as I had food poisoning. So we lost 1 1/2 days of time. It was one of those timed when your gut tells you not to eat something because it doesn't seem right but stupidly you do! I guess NO Chinese for me for awhile. So I have not worked out since Monday. We did walk around a few towns. Once again, it is a small world. We ran into two people who used to live in out area. One we didn't know and the other was a principal at my youngest DS's elementary school. She recognized me. I didn't her. She looked much older.

Joan, glad you had a good time despite the food poisoning.

When I got home from work yesterday, Vince was finishing up removing the two piles of ice from the backyard. We have one area where the grass doesn't want to come back every year. We're going to put down some slate there and put in another sitting area with a fire pit. That's the plan, anyway. We've been talking about it for the past 3 years. Maybe this year we'll get started on it. Speaking of grass, I'm starting to see some green patches.

It's raining; as if we need more moisture. Everything should green up nicely. As much as don't like it, we really need a good wind to come through and dry up the mud.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Gramma ~ We just turn the thing off when we get in bed. Otherwise, I would be kicking it off too!

Hugs,

I am always too warm. Dh is always cold. Got the picture? I think I probably wrote this before... my family says that if I am cold I need to see a dr. I was so cold when I was sick this week. Good thing the resort unit we stayed in had a gas fireplace. That thing really emits heat and quickly.
We went to see Dh's parents today! Another saga.... His mom told me so many family secrets. I found out that his dad wanted to marry her sister but she didn't want him. One of his cousin's was not fathered by her mom's husband (the man she thought was her dad). That her sister slept around. The stories went on and on.... Don't know if I believe a word. Maybe that is why she is so mean and cynical and needs attention all the time. Just a weird day!

Joan, you really needed to hear those things, right?

How is everyone this fine Sunday afternoon? I got 5 more Christmas cards done for the 2011 Christmas Card Challenge. It's been good stamping weather. Snowed last night and a little this morning. The sun is shining now and melting the snow. Now I'm ready for the temperature to start climbing.

Hi Ladies,

So the water problem ended up being a bigger problem than we anticipated the whole lower level floor is going to be ripped out and now some of the walls and it's a mess! Praying that it will go smoothly and will get the contractor of my choice.

Glad to have the sunshine yesterday and now a week of rain my head is feeling the rain big time. Uggh!

Hope everyone has a super blessed day!

Joan, glad your feeling better, your MIL sounds like a WEALTH of information! WOW!

Just a quick note,Aunt Flow is here and I am misserable, have taken the max of ibuprophen for an elephant I think. If I could just unstrap mu uterus from my ankles I know my back and belly would feel better. What do ya do,...would like an "ectomy",I could always wax the stash, and noone would notice the mood swings I'm sure!
Have a good night.

Michele, that is so not good news.

Barbi, I'm so glad those days are gone.

Another crazy day of taxes today. I'm glad I don't do this 5 days a week. But then, I could put up with just about anything if I was paid some big bucks. Next Monday is my last day, then I'll have my 3-day weekends back.

Vince took the dogs to the vet this afternoon. Darn, I missed Lexi's first vet visit. Timber needed his yearly exam and shots. He weighs 126 lbs. Lexi had her first shots, which she should have received when we first got her last month. She only weighs 13 lbs. What a huge difference between those two.

Have a good evening, everyone.

Joan, I'm not sure where to send you. Did you check out the IRS website to see if you could find the answer to your question. PM me and I'll see if I can help you. Keep in mind I'm not a CPA. Each state has Taxpayer Advocate office. You'll have either look up the number in your phone book or get the number at Taxpayer Advocate Service. Here's the toll free number: 1-877-777-4778. They might be able to help you, depending on what you need.

HI girls - how did I manage to be away so long again? That is never my intention!

Michele - we were in NY this weekend. Marie had a major meltdown~PMS related as she got her period the next day and things were back to normal. I am sure if she would be willing to take some meds this could get better - maybe not perfect but certainly better. It is so frustrating!

Today was gorgeous!!! I'm thinking Ruthann and Michele had nice weather, to!!! It was 75 degrees. My dear, sweet hubby took the day off to build some shelves for my craft room. We've been talking about it for awhile and finally getting around to doing it! They are installed on top of the cabinets we put in last week. I will help him with the second coat of paint and he still needs to get a little more wood for the shelves.

I hope everyone has a good week. You all deserve it!

I know it's hard meds make it better but not perfect. I wish she could hear my DD say that it just makes her feel better it is no longer about mom or dad, it is the fact that they make her feel better. But getting started on taking them is the challenge, I know.

Well the weather was OK here on Sunday it got up to 55 just breezy but it was nice to have the sun!

Enjoy your shelves you deserve 'em!

Am miserable, need to hit the shower, the laundry is running, wish I would have gotten on it yesterday. OH well! Want to work on my resume,...never did one before,...so there it is.

Work has sort of started yesterday, some of the rip out, now have to get another contractor the one the insurance sent is pressuring so now if I have learned anything it is not to live in Fear. Not to make decisions based on fear. So bringing in someone else and see what they have to say!

Thanks, it's amazing I told DH that and he changed his attitude he spoke to the contractor after he talked with me and now there is a different "understanding" and now it seems to be better. Ugghh! I don't know why they have to make it like this it is why one side seems to be against the other. People should just be honest!

Weather's not too bad today. The sun peaks out now and then, and there is a bit of a cold wind and it is 53°. I'm working a split shift today. Went in at 10 and got off at 1 pm for what I like to call my four hour lunch break.

My neighbor called this morning to ask if we want any of her old counter top from her kitchen. We brought home a couple of the pieces to use on the back deck. It will make a nice extra place to eat at or set up food for family barbecues. All I'll need is 2 or 3 bar stools to put at the counter. That is after Vince builds some legs for them.

God is so good to my daughter. She hasn't been able to find a daytime job that would work around her school schedule so she's been wroking 12-hour shifts at a bar and grill. She has to work noon to midnight every Saturday. Her friend was at a strip mall trying to get donations from some of the businesses for an upcoming 4H event. One of the business is a new cupcake store. The owner asked Katie if she needed a part time job because she really needed some help, especially on Saturday mornings. Katie told her she didn't need the job but she would ask her friend. Katie called Sheri late Friday afternoon to tell her about the job and if she wanted she could start the next day. Of course, it was too late for Sheri to find someone to take the girls all day, and she had to work at the bar. Sheri went in yesterday to talk to the lady and she starts tomorrow. She won't have to work nights any more, she'll be able to work around her school schedule and the wages are better. After getting the job, she had to start looking for daycare for the girls. She called her old day care provider to make arrangements for Bailey to go there after school. A couple weeks ago, the babysitter didn't have room for Lyra's age. Yesterday, she told Sheri she was going to call her because a spot opened up so she can have both girls. Tracy lives across the street from Bailey's school which is only 5 blocks from their house. That takes care of the weekdays. It so happens that there's a daycare center in the same strip mall so Sheri can take the girls there on Saturday mornings. Every time Sheri gets herself into a bind God puts here where she needs to be. Right now Sunday is just about the only day Sheri can do anything with the girls. Since she'll only be working mornings on Saturday, they'll have a lot more time to do some fun stuff like going to the park or riding horses.

Sorry, I'm rambling again. Hope you all are having a good day. Think nothing but happy thoughts.

Morning ladies!

Michele - I'm glad you stood up for yourself with those workers. Why is it they listen to the men and not the women? Stand your ground - you did good!!

Debbie - that is wonderful news for your daughter. God really worked it ALL out - that is great!

Woke up to frost on the windshield this morning. It is in the high 30s already though. Going to be in the high 50s,low 60s if we get lucky! Hope I have some motivation today - none yesterday. Didn't accomplish much at all. But today is another day!!!!

Thinking of Carol, too. Hope you are doing okay under the circumstances.

When Sheri went to talk to the daycare center yesterday, she found out it's under new ownership and they stopped being open on Saturdays, so now she's back to trying to find someone else. Hopefully, she'll get it all figured out before Saturday.
