Challenge Title: Perfect Packaging with the MISTIHostess: MISTI Monday Keyword: MSP2 Date: September 4th
Welcome back to MISTI Monday! We have 1 month under our belt, after the inaugural giveaway, and I'm looking forward to many more months to come with all of you! The inspiration for September's challenge came from the seasons that are directly in front of us, Autumn and Christmas. I used an autumn scheme of colors with something that we'll all be doing in the coming months, PACKAGING.
I love My Sweet Petunia's Card Guard mailing boxes. Sometimes my cards can get a little over embellished for just mailing in an envelope - or - I want to mail a gift card set to someone as a gift. The Card Guards are just perfect for those occasions.
For my packaging I used the Memory MISTI, as my box is quite large when flattened out. I wanted to use some alphabet sets I've had in my stash to create a whimsical address (people love seeing their name all pretty). My handwriting is not very good and I am really enjoying the script trend.
I drew my lines on the mailer using my 'L' ruler from my Creative Corners and a light pencil stroke. I mixed between script and block lettering to add interest. My hands really shake, especially during detailed work, so having the MISTI for placement of those tiny letters and numbers helped.
After my address was complete, I then added some fall Sunflowers and sponged around the edges to mute the box front somewhat. For an added touch of interest, I took a Crystal Glaze product and dabbed it onto my Sunflower middles with a small tipped stylus used for scoring my cardstock.
Sending cards or card sets as gifts is one of my favorite things this time of year. Pretty packaging is the added touch to let your recipient know that you really put some love into their mail.
Your challenge for this month is to use your MISTI to nicely address and decorate either an envelope or mailing box for the upcoming fall and winter season.

I just realized that this doesn't count for the September challenge here BUT...I'm posting it anyway...I'll have to figure out what I'm really supposed to submit for this challenge later! :p
I hope others participate too Faye. I got rid of all my alphabet stamps in the PRE-MISTI era. Who ever is lucky enough to win the MISTI bag is going to love it. I've had mine a few weeks and I love it to bits. You won't believe how much you can fit into it.

Oops a daisy, I think this message is for AnniePanda aka Joyce Ann. It was Joyce Ann that made the lovely card & envelope. Sadly I got rid of all my alphabet stamps pre-MISTI. I do have one of your fabulous bags, so I'm sure Joyce Ann will be thrilled.

Thank you Susie! You're correct. AnniePanda is the winner!
Thank you for pointing this out Susie. AnniePanda made the lighthouse envelope and that's the one I saw in the Gallery. I mixed the names up after coming to announce the winner. AnniePanda, can you please make an account on My Sweet Petunia and let me know what your email address is? Also, which studio bag color you would like.
