Win Over $200 in Products! - Get Sketchy! - Be the Next MFT Guest Designer! - JULY
Hi MFT fans and guest designer hopefuls! It's time for the MFT Guest Designer Contest. The winner of this contest will win over $200 in stamp sets and Die-namics, AND have the opportunity to play along with the design team for the next release and all the Wednesday Stamp Club Challenges for the next month. MFT always has amazing stamp sets around the corner and getting (and stamping with) them early is a special treat.
This month, Joanne and I are challenging you to Get Sketchy. Yep, that's right... we are providing a sketch for you this month! You may enter as many times as you would like, but you may enter ONLY a CARD. One card per entry.
We're looking for well-executed cards and great technical work. Ready for the challenge? Here are the details:
Guest Designer Contest Details:
-Cards must feature MFT stamps, but are not strictly limited to MFT products. The use of Die-namics is encouraged.
-The deadline for entries is July 2 at 12pm EST. (This is 24 hours earlier than past deadlines - we need plenty of time to consider all entries.)
-When uploading your entries, please use the keyword MFTGUESTDT0712. You will find the keyword also on the sketch attached below. (you enter the code in the keyword box during the upload process)
-Joanne and I will review all the entries and choose a winner. The winner will be announced at the Release Party at around 9:15 pm EST on Tuesday, July 3.
-The winner will receive a selection of stamps and Die-namics from the next release with a value over $200. You'll also join the MFT Design Team for that month!
As winner of the guest designer contest, we ask that you participate in 3 (of 5) teaser days as well as the release blog hop. You must have a blog in order to win the guest designer contest. Please leave a link to your blog with your entry in the gallery.
Here are some tips:
1.) Take a GREAT picture of your project.
2.) When posting on your blog, show us how YOU will represent MFT should you win the contest.
3.) Put effort into your card. The prize is HUGE and the honor is HUGE.
You can see all the entries for this contest HERE and HERE (because of a little snafu with the keyword we have 2 galleries to check when determining the winner. We are sorry for any inconvenience and we will be looking in the gallery under BOTH keywords to be sure all entries are considered).
Thanks and good luck to all of you. We can't wait to see all your amazing entries!

I checked your upload and it's done correctly. Sometimes it takes a bit after the upload for everything to "sync" in the gallery. Check in a couple hours and it should be visible.
When I set up the link, the "keyword" hasn't been used, so it remains "empty" until people start uploading.
Hope that makes sense. I'll check again soon and make sure everything is working as it should be.

Remember it doesn't have to be a banner. It's a sketch, to provide inspiration. You could use three circles, flowers, ????. Feel free to get creative. Don't feel pressured, and just create.

Changing the elements works but while I ponder I like to think about the original and that's just how banners strike me, AND I like them, but they are not one of my go to embellies.
I printed out the pic of the sketch and picked up the challenge keyword off of it. After I posted my card I started thinking about it and thought "DT" is usally in the keyword. It isn't in the pic of the sketch. I don't know if anyone else used that when they posted, but I thought you might want to know there could be entries in the wrong place.

Thank you for the head's up! I have edited the first post to include links to galleries using BOTH keywords and we will check both when considering the entries. So sorry for the error. I didn't catch it.
No problem at all. I just checked again and it is now showing in the Guest Designer Gallery, so you are good to go.

Hi Wendy. I looked in both the galleries and your personal gallery and I do not see an upload for you. When you uploaded did you:
1.) add it to "member gallery" when given the choice
2.) add the correct keyword?
Also, are you an SCS fan club member? How long ago did you upload it? If you are not a fan club member (of SCS) your upload has to be approved and sometimes takes a day or so to show up.
Do you know how to take a screen shot of your card upload so I can see the "path" where it is uploaded? It seems as though you choose a lot of "special" galleries to include your cards in and it is possible you are uploading it to one that not everyone has access to. I am attaching one of your cards and one of mine so you can see what I mean by "path". Mine is uploaded to member galleries and yours is in "technique spotlight".

Just trying to troubleshoot.
Thanks for your insight Jody... I uploaded my first card on June 12 then the 15th and another entry this week... I am not a fan club member but have never had trouble like this...I used to just use the members gallery as a choice and was e-mailed by Spitcoast and told to chose more specific galleries.. for example paper piecing or tri fold card...I am going to re-load them in just the members galleries and see what happens...it is weird because I see them in the galleries and in my gallery...anyway I will try this again and see if anyone can view them...again thanks Jody
