Make My Day -an encouraging card for the person of my choice
I don't have a super sappy story, just love my Mom! She is crafty, as are her daughters. She happily takes loads of cards I create off of my hands to give to her friends...therefore "enabling" my habit -- and allowing me to use up the supplies I have / justify buying more!
Here's my card for Mom: LOVEFEST2013G by IndigosMom - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks for Looking!
I made this for my DD who, even at 8-years old, is experiencing burn-out at school (more details on my blog). I'm hoping to put a smile on her face when she is having "one of those days." Drippy little Newton is the kind of thing that always makes her say, "Awwww."
Yah ty for the lovely challenge....here is my card... for Darlene
We as people are raindrops of colorful ink , falling down Crisp and Clear, each a different shade more vibrant then the last, but once we realize at the bottom of an endless abyss we all fall into the same inkpot forming one color, only then can we come together as one My son.
This was a hard card to make, maybe that is why I left it to the end.
I have met a dear friend through my soap business, she is very sweet and every time we meet she would discuss about her father, she was taking awesome care of him, she would talk about things she did for him and it was an important part of her life. Last week on Saturday when we met at the Farmer's Market she told me that he died and I could see the sadness all the way through. Even though I meet her every week, I will mail this to her and hope it makes her day. LOVEFEST2013G/ MFTWSC113/Sympathy by Zehra - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Who is this card for, and why does she need a little encouragement? It was a little hard to decide on a design for this card, simply because I have never actually met the recipient. One of my DH's cousins are very very ill with cancer, her prognosis does not look good, and she has young kids. She is in our thoughts and prayers - I can only imagine how hard things must be for her and her family right now. It is my hope that she will find a little comfort in it when she receives this card. I wish I could do more, but they live overseas.
My SIL Kerry was diagnosed last year with a very rare appendix cancer. She had surgery that went well, but had to have a continuing chemotherapy. That was also going well, but she has had a setback this month with side effects, so she just had to postpone her last scheduled treatment, which will extend the chemo treatments until August. She has a lot of faith and support and I made this card for her. She loves watching the birds in her yard during her recovery, especially the cardinals.
Such a great challenge! What a good use for all these cards we are making. Here is my Think Pink card . The inspiration and details are in my gallery post. Thanks for a wonderful challenge.
I wanted to leave a comment about the card linked above, because I am the person who was blessed enough to receive this beautiful card! it is absolutely gorgeous and so completely made my day when it arrived!
