Beautiful card, I love how you added the die-cut pieces that mimic the paper. All the best to your Mom, I know she'll love your card *hugs*

What a beautiful way to encourage your Mom. Big HUGS for both of you.
Hello to all of my MFT Chicks and Visitors! Happy Love Festing!
I really enjoyed this! I'm sending my card to a friend who has just had to deal with a lot lately. Everyone in her home is healthy (and she realizes her fortitude in that), but sometimes day-to-day life is just hard. She's going to be just fine...She's my type of chick... I just want to remind her!

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear about your mother. Your card is stunning. I love how the cherry blossoms just pop off the page. She will love it, but she will love even more that you made it.

Here is my card for my dear Christian friend. She lost her husband in a horrible car accident in late October. Then she broke her knee and had surgery and was very helpless in her home (a tri-level). Once in, had to stay there, couldn't even take a shower, because that was on a lower level in her home. Then she had pneumonia, and almost died. Most recently, she developed a giaganic blod clot and had to be flat on her back in the hospital for a week. Her daughters brought her to town to visit me overnight. She was able to use my shower, and was so thankful! She is supposed to go back to work in March. I don't know how, because when she was here she couldn't even dress herself. Anyway, I am going to send this to her, with "praying for you sentiment" inside. Thank you for the challenge. Here is my card.

Wow, she's been through so much! I'm sure your gorgeous card will lift her spirits.
My card for this challenge is going out to my dear friend and neighbor whom I have known for 31 years. We must all consider ourselves very lucky if we have friendships that have survived all the trials of our lives. This friend is of course always "busy, busy" as we all are in our daily lives. However, despite her busy life and illnesses she always manages to send me an email, give me a call, or brings a gift to brighten my days. (She hand stitched the Irish Blessing for me for my last birthday.) Her illness some days makes her extremely sad, but her emails always start with how are you... Her calls encourage me that I am loved by family whether there has been a disagreement or unkind words spoken. She makes me see that I am a talented and strong individual, that I set the needs of others before my own, especially with having five grown sons, and that our friendship is valued. So as my card stated, the song from beginning to end, I found in the heart of a Friend.

Oh my, what a sweet story. It makes me think of that song we sang in Girl Scouts: "Make new friends but keep the old . . . one is silver and the olther's gold." What a sweet golden friendship!
Here is my card for the challenge (using a MFT stamp ) LOVEFEST2013G : thinking of you makes me happy
I will send this card to a dear friend (I met through the stamping hobby!) who always is there for me when I'm struggling and full of self-doubt (especially regarding my stamping/cardmaking work) and who always -literally- makes me smile when writing/speaking with her! I so hope it will brighten her day a little bit

This was such a fun challenge and I almost instantly had an idea of what to do -- that doesn't happen often, so I jumped right on it to take advantage. I didn't create a card, but a little picture frame for each of my kids. Sleeping has been problematic lately and you can read more about it in my gallery post or on my blog.
Hi everyone! I'm so glad that so many people have already had a chance to play along in the LoveFest challenge from My Favorite Things.
I've been off skiing with my family this week (my kids are on February break) but I'm looking forward to cozying up by the fire when I get home, and looking at all your beautiful samples and touching stories!
