Default Size of hexagon dies??

There is a thread over in the Product Talk forum trying to find a multi cut hexagon die that could be used to cut hexagons to fit inside StampinUp's hexagon embossing folder. See post #36 forward - here is the link: hexagon punch?

The question I have is what is the length of one of the sides one each of the two dies that MFT makes: the hexagons, and hexagon borders. We are looking for a die that cuts out multiple hexagons with a side length of 3/8".

Here is a link to a sizzix die which is too large. See picture #3 to see the side that we are looking to have measured: Sizzix.com - Sizzix Bigz Die - Hexagons, 3/4" Sides

Thanks to anyone who can help us!

Thanks

Hi Susan, I cut the Haxagon Borders dies and it looks like the medium sized border will work for you. It looks right at 3/8" to me. Here are a couple pics.

Here is a link to the product: Die-namics Open Hexagon Borders

Thank you so much Jody!. I really appreciate your post and pictures. Everyone looking for a die to be used with their StampinUp embossing folder will be relieved to have an option other than cutting out all of these pieces one by one!

Do you know if I can order from MFT and send a check? I don't order online but would love a set of the hexagon border dies!

We do offer a check/money order option at checkout. You'll order online, and select check/money order as your payment option and click continue. As the order progresses, and you keep clicking continue through each step, the last screen gives you the address to send the payment to. Once we receive your payment, and it clears, we mail out your package.

Default Hexagons from the Open Hexagon Borders dies

Just an FYI, if you have the Cuttlebug Honeycomb embossing folder-the smallest hexagon fit within the ridges of the honeycomb.

The middle hexagon fits within the inner ridges of the SU Honeycomb.

I went a little crazy because I wanted a Honeycomb embossing folder NOW so bought the CB one. It comes with a border strip also.
