Morning friends and fellow sketch party-ers!! It sounds like there were tons and tons of MFT sketch cards made this year. WOO HOO!!!! Speaking of which, do you all have this week's sketch done? Are you caught up for the year?? There's only been three, so you can still catch up easily!

It's my dd's 21st bday today and we've decided to relax and BE. So I think I'll stick around here on and off today and bug you all...

Here's a poem for today...

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I have a long wish list.
How about you??

I need to stamp more than I currently do. I will usually stamp for a LONG period of time (maybe 4-8 hours) at a time and I do that maybe 3 times a month. I WANT to start stamping for an hour each day. Maybe I'll start that next week.

It takes me about 30 minutes to write a blog post and just a couple minutes to upload to SCS, but it takes usually an hour or 1 1/2 hours to make the card.

JODY'S TRIVIA QUESTION #1

I have a prize to give away sometime in the next couple days! The person who comes CLOSEST to the correct answer will win a $10 gift certificate. Remember that you can only use one gift certificate per order and I cannot combine gift certificates . During the end of year party you can only win one "trivia question" and one "participation prize" each, maximum of 2 prizes per person for this party (for any type of prize).

Here it goes:

How many individual stampers participated in at least ONE WSC in 2012?

Jody - you are a poet, too!!! I love it! Especially the part at the end about PRIZES!

I think that there were twelve that did them all. Am I high or low????

I made my mother a queen size Christmas bedspread , crocheting hundreds of snowflakes and then poinsettias on leaf petal at a time...definitely turned into a way bigger project than I expected but loved the outcome she was so happy, and now she wants 2 pillow shams to match ..(there are some pic on my blog)
I also made my Father-in-law a fleece blanket and matching lounge pants

I have many local musician friends so Fri & Sat evenings are often taken up supporting them at whatever gigs are going on. So that leaves Saturday day & Sunday for both housekeeping & crafting. ('Cause you can only put off laundry for so long, you know...) Each card takes me a couple hours from start to finish, so that doesn't leave time for too many cards per week. That's my plan! I actually do have one done for the Feb. Guest DT, just need to take a pic & upload. But I need to catch up on the WSCs. I think I'll start printing out the sketches and keep a stack going on my work table with the goal of getting to the bottom of that stack.

Well, my cards take anywhere from 10 minutes to two hours. The MFT sketches always stretch me, because there are usually a number of layers to work with, and I have a limited number of stamps and dies to choose from that will fit any given sketch. I'm usually more of a simple stamper (hence the name of Simply Stamping on my blog!) and I don't have a lot of embellishments at my disposal, so I have to count on coloring to "make my statement". Taking pictures doesn't take too long, but by the time I've taken the picture, fixed it, uploaded it to SCS and my blog, linked it to the challenge and added the product links to my blog, it usually adds another half hour or more to the process. I don't work outside the home, but I do own a small notebook based dayplanning business and I help my Mom a couple afternoons a week after her stroke, so the past few months I've cut back to just my two favorite challenges - company ones, so I'll use the supplies that I have! - and then I can fill in with another challenge or two if I happen to have some extra time that week. I also love to cross stitch, which I work on when DH is home at night so we can sit together, so that takes up some time as well! Hmmm... sorry. I think I wrote a book!

I know the entries are always so amazing. I don't have a hope of winning, but for sure I won't win if I don't enter, right?

I am so not a simple stamper. LOL I start to get the shakes if I can't throw a few layers on there. Far, far easier to cover up mistakes too.

I know. That's exactly how I feel. Although there have been a couple of months that I looked at the gallery first and didn't even try!

Ummm, 217?

Hmmm, thanks, but I'll pass, not a coffee girl here. I am about to break out the diet coke & cheez-its for break time over here.
