In 2011, MFT is working harder than ever to inspire you, and we have come up with something we think you'll really enjoy. Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a new monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique.
This month, It's a Wrap for our designers. They're here to help with some crafty gift packaging! Don't stress, enjoy the holiday preparation and enjoy some creative time for you! After all, it is a great way to showcase a little bit of YOU in those holiday preparations.
Visit the MFT Blog for a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge!
I had so much fun with this challenge! I've dressed up a little candy in a jar, and stitched up some crafty gift covers! I have been loving making gift tags, but I'd better set up a little mass production station!
I made a gift card holder, but it's more like a little purse. I designed the handle with our Die-namics, which I thought turned out pretty sweet and opens up for some other ideas as well. Hope it inspires you.

What a fun and timely challenge!! I am known for leaving my gift wrapping to the last minute and am often hunting around the house late at night (or early in the morning) for some sort of box, bag, wrapping that is appropriate! I also love to go green and repurpose items that may have just been thrown away. My gift container for this challenge was once a plastic vinegar bottle I covered with paper and decorated with some die-namics and a cute little PI for a one of a kind package that can be re-used by the recipient. More information is on my blog.
this was such a great challenge and I loooove what everyone has created for it.
I went with a felt stocking gift card holder that can be repurposed as an ornament. I was inspired by the cutie pie, PI-stocking girl.
I have a tutorial on my blog to show you how easy these are to make.
