Default Help - Can't Unsticky my MFTs!

I broke out a new set of MFTs and the stamps won't unsticky on the stamp-side down. They keep clinging to the paper. I tried rubbing the stamp gently with an eraser to get rid of the sticky film, but they're still sticky. And I think I may have rubbed a teeny chunk of my table off . What am I doing wrong?

They are a little sticky sometimes. Try stamping them with dye ink and then stamping off a few times on some scratch paper. I also find that this happens most often with Whisper White paper for some reason.

What ink are you using? Staz On is the only ink I know that creates a serious stick between stamps and paper. If this is the case, clean then well using a stamp cleaner (not staz on cleaner, it will eat them) and then try with Brilliance, Memento, Versafine, or Adirondack.

They were sticking to my cardstock before I inked up (I also try dry placing them first, to make sure I know how big the image really is). It didn't happen with my other MFTs, so was puzzled. I'll try inking up again and trying Shannan's suggestion for stamping off on scratch paper. Thanks.

I followed Shannan's advice and stamped off on total scrap paper first, and it worked. Yay! I'm still decided whether to order a new Meet me @ the Cafe set since I'm missing a couple of teeny chunks now, but all my other stamps in the set are working perfectly. Thanks to you both!
