Default Flat rate shipping?

Hi!

I was wondering if you still use "flat rate envelopes" for shipping to The Netherlands.
My and my friend's last orders (both stamps and dies only) could have easily been fitted in such an envelope, but they both came in a box. So... we had to pay taxes and duties....
I absolutely know I'm taking this risk when I order my stamps from USA, but I rather spend my money on MFT-goodies than taxes With a flat rate envelope the risk of having to pay the mailman is smaller....
So... Did our orders mix up with flat-rate / non-flat-rate? Or aren't flat-rate-envelopes in use anymore? What did go "wrong"?

Hi there,

We have not used flat rate envelopes for international orders unless its is chosen and paid for when the order is placed. We used to ship in padded envelopes, so I'm thinking maybe that's what you're referring to? If I'm not correct, please met me know.

We have moved to shipping in our boxes as we simply had way too many orders not arrive when shipped in padded envelopes.

I'm so sorry for the duties and taxes, but unfortunately, every Country charges fees of some sort and there's not anything we can do to get around it.

Dear Kim,

Thank you for your answer!
I was indeed referring to the padded envelopes. Sorry to hear there were too many orders that didn't arrive in such an envelope!

Have a nice day!
