Here is my sample for this month's Guest Designer Contest. I've added both machine and hand stitching to my project.
One way I love to add handmade charm to my projects is to stitch my Die-namics. You'll see on the card that I've added cross stitched detail by piercing with a piercing template, then cross stitching with twine. I've also cross stitched the heart directly onto the card.
I added a small tote from two square felt diecuts, and stitched on a twill handle. A stitched Die-namic Hearts a Plenty on the front. Inside I've tucked a gift card sleeve. But wouldn't any little girl love a tiny purse for her hair clips etc?
and here is my sample! Joanne and I chuckled when we saw that we both did a little tote....that wasn't planned! lol! Of course you can create whatever you want as long as it has stitching!
I traced, cut, and stitched up two felt hearts, thanks to a tutorial by Beate (she did a mitten. It's on her blog. HERE )
I added a handle with a new die-namic die, some cute felt hearts (from another new die-namics die-hearts a plenty) and finished it off with some twine and a few buttons. I'll have a how-to on my blog, if you're interested.
I made a sweet little love note to match. The candy hearts are from You Spin Me Additions and sentiment is from Clearly Sentimental about You!
Notice my hand stitches in the bottom corner-something a little as that adds just the right finishing touch!
Joanne and Lisa, your samples are SO very cute! I love all the fun felt elements!
Here's my sample, which is also my MFTeaser of the new Die-namics Textile Rectangle Frame Set! I stitched the edges of the panels, I stitched around the sunshine, and I stitched the ribbon!
Oh, I have to try this one! I have been so busy lately that my card making has been on the back burner, but I want to try to join in on this one!! I just love the look of stitched cards!

What a fine time for my sewing machine to be on the fritz....and I HATE hand stitching! I might have to make it limp along with horrendous stitching just to make a single card There are only a few entries and they have set the bar WAY above my reach though!!!!!!!! Simply amazing!!!! WOW

When you find those pointers on Jody's blog, email me the link so I just might use that silly Janome she enabled me on last summer. I haven't used it yet although it's been out of the box since I got it.

Duh, I thought you got a card. Have fun sewing. Even though we can't win I still made a card for the challenge. I used a new PI so I won't post it till tomorrow.
Good morning... just finished the Sneek Peek hop and had TONS of eye and mouth watering beauties.... Lovin the entries this week... I'm gonna pull out the pixie and hope for some magic fairy dust to hit me... I DO have a card that I stitched on for the peeks, did it yesterday, but will probably show it at the party, and I covered up most of the stitching! LMAO
love this challenge, and I love stitching! KJ, so excited you got a sewing machine!
i was bummed that my Janome broke, but was excited b/c I got a sewing machine with more stitching, I love having options!
LOL! Kate got a pixie plus and ended up throwing it on the sidewalk... LMAO! She HATED it, couldn't get it to do squat and Singer was NOT helpful, nor was Joann's... so she pulled a KJ and tossed that sucker, so far... KNOCK ON WOOD... mine is cruisin along!!!!!

Okay, now I know I'm nuts. I made a card for this, uploaded it and then it's been bugging me all day. My stitching was crooked in my first card. Sigh. All day I've been thinking - I need to re-do that card. So, I just edited my original and reposted.
anyone else out there a crazy perfectionist like me????

If I did this right (you should hear me cackling) I will have inserted a photo of my "Splish Splash" card. I sewed the buttons onto the felt and then I embroidered lots of little Franch Knots around the scallops.
I have little faith in my abilities so I'm just saying that if there's no thumbnail here, well, duh and I'll just do a post with a link to it.

eeeee! This is the second Janome fatality I've heard of recently. I'm scared for mine, it's 2 years old this Christmas. I don't know what I'd do without mine.

Me either. I think I might shed real tears over that. I love mine. A lot.

Make that three. Mine died a very very painful death last winter. Luckily Santa brought me the REAL DEAL sewing machine. I *could* sew actual clothes, or curtains etc on int. But nope. It is for cards.
I'm blogging my fingers to the bone right now but looking forward to grabbing a cup of tea and checking out all your amazing entries this morning. I'll be by soon with some love for you all!
