Clean and Simple Creations with the MFT Design Team
The MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique.
This month, we were challenged to create fresh and clean projects - without the use of any pattern paper.
Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all participating designers who have a clean and simple project to share with you today.
Clean and Simple cards are always tough for me, but I created a few cards which I hope fit this challenge. More details on how I created my cards can be found on my blog http://stampowl.blogspot.com/2013/02...nd-simple.html
When I cut out some of the Open Hexagon Borders Die-namics I got so many fun shapes from both the positive and negative aspects of the die. This card just kind of evolved. And, glory be, I stayed away from Pattern Paper. That's a possible first! The patterns (yeah, I had to have something) are actually from the Lisa Johnson Design Spring Backgrounds . (Houndstooth is so uptown!)
I created a couple CAS cards for this challenge. I was inspired to try a few different techniques out after taking the Clean & Simple Card Making 2 class. I used my MFT inks and Hearts & Stitches to create a rainbow of hearts for the first card. For my second card, I used distress stain and a water brush for the sun rays. On both cards I added some strips of sparkle with glitter and red line tape.
I love CAS designs so I was super excited to see this challenge. I created a couple of cards using LJD Spring Backgrounds. Check out my blog for the details.
I always love a great challenge and this month's Creative Challenge Clean and Simple challenge was that and more! Here are a few of my cards. Please visit my blog for more samples, photos and details: http://cupcakescreations.blogspot.co...challenge.html
I focused on some of my favorite Die-namics and Stamp set combos for my clean and simple cards. My masculine card uses At the Movies , and my feminine card uses Sew Nifty . Please visit my blog post here for more photos and details.
