April 2010 Guest Designer Contest- Challenge and Chatter
Hi everyone, and welcome to this month’s Guest Designer Contest for My Favorite Things!!!
I am your hostess this month and I TRULY have a challenge for you!! It’s time to break out those manly/boyish/masculine MFT stamps and get to work!! Your challenge this month is to make an M&M card….both masculine and metallic!! Robot digi’s, Who’s That Guy?, Flopsey, and our Pure Innocence Boy and Dog’s need some love and I think it’s the perfect time to do that!! As far as the metallic, you can use metallic papers, brads, SPIRAL CLIPS(hehe), etc….the sky’s the limit!!
Projects must feature some MFT stamps or products, but are not strictly limited to MFT stamps or products.
The deadline for entries is Tuesday, April 6th at 10pmEST.
When uploading your entries, please use the keyword MFTGUESTDT0410.
I will review all entries and pick on winner by no later than 8:45p.m. EST on Wednesday, April 7th.
The winner will be revealed in the release party thread as well as the challenge thread by 8:45pm EST on April 7th.
You can see all the entries for this contest HERE!!
I have attached my samples at the bottom, along with one from Christina!! Good luck and I can’t wait to see what you come up with!!

Here is a sample from me using the new Lots of Bots stamp set (releasing on April 7th at 10 PM EST), some masculine new paper from My Mind's Eye (the robot line), some metallic pewter card stock (Stardream I think), and some metallic screw brads (Hobby Lobby, Paper Studio).
Thanks for the great challenge, Jessie!
I can't wait to see all the awesome entries!
Some things you might want to know for the May release:
3 NEW characters
a new illustrator
TONS of new stamp sets
NEW Pure Innocence stamp sets
You WANT to win this contest... trust me!
I've got my idea already and I've started working on it. I'm going to try to finish it tonight, but my new puppy is keeping me busy! She's chomping on pretty much everything in sight unless she's in my lap. Soon she'll be too big for that, so we're going to need to work this chewing stuff out pretty quick . . .
I know, I hate masculine too....but I thought I would challenge you all as much as I challenged myself!!! My boyfriend actually said the black and white card was his favorite card of mine that he's seen. He likes them simple and understated apparently since it has less layers and all the other stuff I usually throw on there!! LOL!! Gotta love men!!
DH was away all evening working on a play at church for tomorrow's Easter service. Sooo, I actually got a chance to play and get it completed on time. I've got to admit, masculine cards are not my faves and I don't really have any "boy" stamps. So, I improvised and came up with this: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...&ppuser=205935
Hope it still qualifies. And, now I must go get stuff ready for tomorrow. Good night everyone!
Ugh! man cards. Not my forte. Good thing that there is a debate over Flopsey (boy or girl). Cause this is the only MFT image that I have, that might fit this category.
Will have to really think about this one.
That is my card ladies, a bit of T!M Holtz and good to go.... Took my cue from BAR and her sentiment as the focal
KJ, you so nailed this challenge with this card, what on earth ever made you think you can't stamp. Whatever it was you are over that lumpy bump in the road and have come out on the other side soaring to new heights.
