I can't wait either. We were lucky enough to get tickets to an 8pm special showing on the 17th and the theater has assigned seats so we don't have to go wait in line.

I made an invite to a pre-release party where we can all get together and watch the Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse a few days before. I'll share it if anyone is interested.

Went to the 12:01 showing last night.

Overall it was AWESOME even though a few parts disappointed me.

I will pm if anyone wants to discuss without spoiling it on here.

READY for PART II.

My sentiments exactly except I went at 7:30 pm and in an "Empire Extra Experience" which means fancier seats and an upgraded surround sound or something like that. I thought it reflected the book quite well.

And if you do go, don't leave when the ending credits start ... there's a tad bit more. Wait til the end.

I heard it was getting poor ratings but it wasn't stopping the fans from coming out in droves. It was very, very busy at the theatre I was at last evening.

I don't get to too many movies in theatre, probably only 3 or 4 in the past year. It would have to be a really, really bad movie for me to say I didn't enjoy it, because I still enjoy the evening out, even if the movie was mediocre.

And it is even rarer for me to go to a movie during the opening week. I really hate the crowds, crowded theatres, long concession lines for overpriced items, long bathroom lines after you drink a vat of pop and eat a pound of salty popcorn, etc. One of my pet peeves are people who show up to a full movie theatre at the last minute and expect to find good seating in the back. I sound like a real crank LOL!

Despite all this, Twilight was worth all that

I absolutely loved it, and I hate that we have to wait a year for part II! I saw it on Friday in the early afternoon. I figured most people would either be a school or at work. The theater wasn't totally full, but there were a LOT of people there. The thing that surprised me was that people brought babies, toddlers and small children. I was so totally engrossed in the movie that I didn't hear a child whining and crying until another patron LOUDLY asked the lady to "get that kid outta here" and then another LOUDLY asked her to "control her child." I had also heard not to leave when the ending credits started, but most people left the theater, so most of them missed that last little scene.

I saw it this afternoon and loved it!! It was nice to see Edward smile, at least for the first half of the movie. I'm hoping to see it again before it leaves the theaters. I can't even wrap my brain around the fact that they're making us wait A WHOLE YEAR for part 2!!!

I saw a piece on Good Morning, America this morning stating that people are getting ill over this movie. Apparently, the flashing during the birth scene has triggered some epileptic symptoms.

I believe it. It's pretty graphic.

Okay, to put this in perspective ... from what I've read, there have been two, a whole two, reports of photosensitive epilepsy incidents. Two people. Were they epileptics to begin with? Was this a prior condition?

Considering that the movie has grossed over $140 million worldwide, at $10 a ticket, that means over 13,000,098 people did not have a seizure. I know $10 is probably a tad conservative number (I paid more than $10 for my ticket) but you see the point I'm trying to make

Another poster mentioned they found that scene pretty graphic. I'd have to say I've seen more graphic stuff on TV. In Canada under our rating system, it was deemed PG (Parental Guidance advised). The next more severe category would have been 14A which means anyone under 14 would have to be accompanied by an adult. So, a 13 year old could see it in Canada without adult supervision. I must say that I saw many kids at the movie who were probably younger than 10 years old and I felt that was too young given the subject matter.

I loved the movie. I was a little off about it as friends who say it Thursday said they were dissapointed - so I felt set up so to speak.

We now own the dvd - and I have watched it 2 more times.

To be honest its pretty close to the book (which is what people what right?) and Yes parts are 'missing' but from what I read they were filmed, just cut - like Bella eating all those eggs (if you read the book).

I can not wait until Nov, I am bummed that the movie is already done, just editing and graphics are being completed now.

It is also my understanding that the cast would be very much into creating another movie is SM writes another book - I hope she does.

There may also be a TV series from what I read!

I also want to read The Host and see the movie that is being made for that. SM also has a hand in the making of that movie too.

I really need to read it - DH just bought me The Vow and Hunger Games - onto of the 30+ ebooks I need to read along with the fact that I am rereading the 2nd half of Breaking Dawn and I get audio books to listen too for work....I think I am going to bump it up on my list and read it soon!

I loved the first Hunger Games book and can't wait for the movie to come out. The second one was just okay and the third was a snoozer, IMO. Haven't read The Vow.
