This week's challenge is inspired from a cherished trip through England and Wales. We spotted sheep on the countryside and were enlightened to the phrase "woolly dots!"
My challenge for you this week is to incorporate woolly dots in some way on your project.
Use any one or a combination to meet the challenge - wool fabric swatch - wool yarn - stamped image of sheep/lamb - felting wool fiber - If you don't have wool, make some faux felting wool! Be adventurous.
Unroll a jumbo cotton ball.
On a safe craft mat or covered cookie sheet, spray alcohol ink in a line long enough for the cotton ball.
Spray or mix rubbing alcohol into spray to dilute.
Lay the unrolled cotton ball onto ink and pat down into it. (Wear gloves if you cherish your manicure.)
Lay cotton aside to dry.
Clean area and repeat for more colors.
Have fun and remember at least two (2) different media to make it an official mixed media project.
Thanks to all the Mixer hostesses for coming up with awesome samples!

This is so cool! Your write-up reminded of when we took two friends who had never been out of Dublin out into the country for a picnic - they were so excited when we got out into the countryside a bit and they started seeing "les moutons".
There is a wool-felt studio near where I get the bus home from work, but he's not always open this time of year, so I'm not sure if I can pop in and ask him for a scrap today - I might have to try your faux technique which sounds like a lot of fun. And I just got a big bottle of rubbing alcohol . And I know I have oddments of beautiful Iceland knitting wool I could tease out with a fine comb.

MIX115 Woolly Thinking
Distress ink, pigment re-inker, Gelatos and Inktense pencil all on a pretty CAS card!
Sorry for the double post this morning!
And I wasn't even on my phone , I turned the laptop on so that I could catch up on commenting for the WT challenge.
I tried the cotton-wool felt! I don't think it turned out like it should - but I still used it.
Now I have a humongous mess to clear up and then it will be time to start dinner. MIX15 Failed Faux Felt

Aw, thank you!
The mess wasn't so much colouring the cotton (I used Ranger alcohol ink and rubbing alcohol), it was just that when I sew, everything else on the desk gets pushed to the side to fit the machine ;-). I guess because I quite often go into the wool felt studio near work, I know what real wool felt should look like, and my cotton fell far short of it - but I did love how it turned out for want of anything better. And it was probably easier to stitch, too .
