Default MIX 156: Faulty Fun (1/22/2016)

Challenge Title: MIX156: Faulty Fun
Hostess: Janelle S (a.k.a dizzymommie)
Keyword: MIX156

I am excited to be here for the next challenge. We aim to make mixed media easy, approachable and fun using the crafting tools you already have in your stash.

I've been looking through oodles of mixed media techniques lately so much that they began to weld together and this is challenge is one of the outcomes that I liked the most.

My challenge for this week is to make faulty fun on our project. Have a least one fault line on your project. It doesn't matter how it slides, shifts or slips just as long as we can see it.

Remember for your project to be considered mixed media it needs to include at least two different mediums. For more information go to "What is the Mix-Ability Challenge?"

Add your project to this challenge's gallery when you upload to your gallery by adding the keyword MIX156.
Have fun! I can't wait to see your projects in the gallery!

Super fun challenge...had me thinking outside my normal comfort zone on how to do a fault line. Here is my card:

Fun challenge, Janelle. I even incorporated a technique from MIX151(is a scrap). Thanks.

Thank you so much Lisa and Audrie!

Now the challenge today was to mess up a card (on purpose) ... I did not have the heart to do that - however .. on the insides I placed stickers with verses on them crooked. Trying to fix this, I tore the paper -- so I stamped on some toppers and glued those in to cover up my mess up. Sorry folks!

Here's mine: MIX156 Faulty Fresco

I have to confess that I wasn't entirely sure what to understand from "fault lines" so I took a visual cue from your upload - and also used a damaged Faux Fresco piece.

I am seeing double and triple fault lines, come have a look heart tattoos, faulty fun, and drinkin'. Thanks challenge makers for your wonderful examples.

Smile MIX 156 Rising Every Time

As I am a person that likes the overall effect and has no problems with "faults"- I used a quilted card with a ripped portion above my stamped sailboat, and with a cross hatch pencil marked area for my gap in my squares. Added a mis- cut fabric strip, and adorned it with an aqua yarn/button/twine combo. Here's Rising Every Time. Dedicated to a good friend

My fault line isn't torn or crooked, hope that's okay. Here's my Crab Shack

Default Vintage Postal Valentine

Gotta use these vintage goodies someday. Thanks for making me break into my stash. Not sure if this is considered a fault line, but it's my fault that I put it there!

I am not sure about the fault line... but here is my card. Still trying to get down the Falling Snow Scene technique. So it is another Christmas card for January. With Love

Thank you!
