Default Your fav **must have** items from Michael's and Ikea

Doing an organization road trip tomorrow... Michael's and Ikea. Finally putting the finishing touches on my new craft room.

What are some of your fav must have items from those retail stores?

Headed to Ikea for a few more Bygel bars (the towel bar things to 'store' my punches) and to look at accessories to hang from them. Also need another single tall white storage cabinet. I have two doubles but have room for one single on that wall. Also need a chair and to look at lighting.

From Michael's, intending to look at the tool caddy, pretty little white lazy susan style caddy (retail $44 or so).

It's been a very long time since I've invested time and money in my fav past time. So I'm getting back to it and am excited to make the best of it.

Please share, I would love to hear some of the exciting, recent trends in craft room organization!!

TIA~

remember to measure before you go.
plan how you like to group your supplies/embellishments.
love my alex drawers from ikea. plus the rods for hanging punches
go through the kitchen section-slowly. look @ all the small containers, etc.
love their little spice jars. i think they're 5 in a pk for 1.99 or 2.99. better than the ones at hobby lobby, etc. better lids!

I don't know what you already have, so I might be telling you about stuff you already have,I'm in the middle of moving my craft room to a new one, so I have been buying Ikea for it, lol. Main purchases so far have been the Expedit cubes, in various sizes, also the desk addition for one of them. You can get twin packs of drawers fro them, little doors, cube boxes etc. Bought three of the Vika tabletops, one to use as my main desk, two for the side walls. Also bought a VIKA Alex drawer unit, for the 'legs' one side of the desk.
In the ( I think) bathroom section, they have a couple of different packs of clear acrylic cosmetic trays for dressing table drawers. Great for pens/glues in your drawers etc. With the home office desks, I found a thick rubber-like drawer divider that you can cut to size for your drawers. Also the SKUBB fabric drawer boxes. In the kitchen section I found some small wooden boxes with two sections- I think they are probably for standing things like kitchen utensils in. Great for pens/brushes/scissors etc.
I agree about measuring before you go- and all their stuff is metric- I still think(and measure) in feet & inches, so remember to convert, lol.It gets a bit stressy trying to convert on the spot! I saw some plastic beaker type things that you can hang from the rails too- I've seen people using them for scissors etc. Have fun choosing all your stuff- I did

I have the white tool caddy from Michaels. It is nice, but it is also large. I found a smaller spinner type caddy at TJ Maxx for 7.99. It's about the diameter of a 2ltr bottle and perfect for pens and scissors.
