I REALLY love it and it's so nice to be able to see at a glance what I have, what I need and just grab cardstock and create!!! I wish the rest of my room was completed and as organized! LOL!

Hi there!

Here is another organizational idea I just posted in my gallery here and thought I'd share with you. (There's actually 3 posts, but link is just for one of them.)

I use these 2 large recipe card holders from Michaels to organize all my leftovers, rejects, extras from projects. One box has all card bases, some leftovers and some I just made extras of to have on hand. The other box has die cuts, images stamped (blank), images (finished), and card mats.

There's a little more info on the posts in my gallery if you would like.

Blessings!

Kathy

Ps. These probably should be decorated, but...

Thanks! Since I stamped with Doodle This all around my room, I decided to go crazy on my pegboard. It turned out pretty busy, but with it full of stuff, it's not so bad. I like it. It's definitely full of personality LOL

Wow, you girls have some gorgeous stamping/craft rooms!

I'm a newbie stamper/longtime crafter and am currently planning my own storage/activity areas (especially to start storing all my new stamping goodies), and have found some great ideas and inspiration on here...thanks for sharing

From 2Peas main page, choose gallery in the top bar, but don't use the drop down menu. Just click on gallery.

In the left sidebar is a "search by" section. In the search by "gallery" section is Scraprooms. Click on that. I find that folks must be a bit careless what gallery they put things in because projects come up under the scraprooms gallery, but you should get most of the scraprooms there.

ETA sometimes I use the "sort by" feature to search the ones most liked or most viewed or most bookmarked since that seems to filter out the projects from the rooms.

I just revamped my entire office / crafting space. Since I work from home and I only have one room to myself, it has to do double duty.

I posted pictures on my blog. I'm thrilled with the way it turned out!

I was wondering if there are any threads on cheap, easy storage ideas...using recycled items. You know, like gutters used for ribbon storage. I am doing up my scrap area and would LOVE to have recycled items in there! Cheap is a bonus since more money saved is more money for stamps!

Here is my room, in all it's glory It's small but I love, love it!! Everything is at my finger tips, and although I wish it was organized better, I still love it At night I love the soft glow of my lamps. Everyone in my family knows there are only two rooms I love and will be in: the kitchen & the "Scraproom" My most favorite thing in the room is the window, and I wish it was even bigger but the wall behind the TV is the garage wall, so no large window for me

I love this thread and Gallery idea, because I love to oogle over other crafter's rooms and storage ideas!!! If I ever win the lotto, I am moving my garage over so I can put a bigger picture window in - LOL

Thank you, Bev I know it's dark and not as "bright" of a pic as everyone else's but I just love the way it looks at night so I used those pics. The ones I took during the day didn't seem as cozy or magical feeling

Amanda, I LOVE your space! It's exactly what I've been trying to create for myself! And I mean literally, exactly! On your two shelf piece with the library card boxes -- what size are they and where did you get them? Those are what I need to add....

Wow, thank you, Ladies It isn't as nice as everyone else's rooms, but I do love it! It that that special cozy feeling and that's all I need for my scrapping/crafting mojo

Mary56, my husband and I picked up the laminated particle board at our Lowes Home Improvement store. Do you have those in your area? They are like Home Depot Home Improvement stores. I bought the longest and deepest (widest) boards I could find. The dimensions are:

Shelf: 48 in. (4 ft) H x 10 in. Deep

- The boards themselves are 47 1/2 long.

The Craft Table Under The Shelf is: 48 in. W X 20 in. Deep

Squeezing that shelf over the table was kinda nerve wracking but it works perfectly and it's nice and snug so it doesn't wobble.
I love that shelf and I needed it so bad!! I asked my husband (who is not a handyman, God bless his heart) to make it for me as a Christmas gift. I wanted it so bad I helped him pick out everything and make it, before Christmas, last year. But it was the best Christmas present ever

I've been waiting to post to this thread for quite some time but needed to get my space a state of completion that would give the idea of what I had. I've never had my own room/space so while it's small, it's mine and I love it! I converted a basement bedroom closet and my husband and I did the whole thing for under $300. Before you congratulate me on what a wonderful husband I have (which I do) please be aware that this has taken over a year and various elements were promised as Christmas/Birthday/Anniversary/Mother's Day presents during that year! I have a lot of organizing to do and will be unmounting all my wooden stamps (it's a slow process doing just 1 or two sets a night!). The entire room is covered in wood panelling from 1976 and I will be addressing the rest of the room over Christmas vacation, but for now this little enclave is my get-away.

It's all "right there" .... and SO organized! Way to go!
So tell us about that awesome worktop ... Do you "lose" little bits & pieces against the dark color of the granite? Or do those little brads, etc. show up easily with those cool lights overhead? Just curious ... I do love you space!

My "granite" counter top is the instock 8 foot laminate coutertop section from Mendards (got it for $40). I like the dark color since most of my card bases are light. The lighting above is also from Menards...it's the $14.99 track lighting system and my husband wired a longer cord for me. The cord runs on the underside of the shelf, down the wall behind the left side shelves and to a powerstip mounted to the countertop under those same shelve. Gives me plenty of outlets since the closet had one.

As I'm unmounting my stamps, I've been a little sloppy with the TIO&O and have had to wipe the surface with rubbing alcohol to remove the residue. Hasn't affected the surface. I really can't wait to see how much more room I have once the stamps are unmounted. I want to mount them in the 8.5x5.5 plastic binder cases. I have the link saved on my laptop, but they were inexpensive.

Thanks for the positive feedback. For those of us stamping on kitchen tables and having to pack up after each project or live with a mess, it's exciting to have a space!

Oh do I ever agree with you! I have been scrapbooking since 2002 and just got a room of my own in the past few months. Before that I was a kitchen counter crafter! I had to haul all the stuff out to make a card and then haul it all back when I was done. Now, I can play with all my stuff without having to dig through boxes and bags to find stuff! I'm still organizing and I still need DH to build a counter height island and a desk for me so I will post pics when I get some of that done.

On another note, I ordered two Clip It Up ribbon organizers from scrapbook.com today...they were only $10 a piece!! The shipping is a little high to Canada but I figured it was worth it for such a great deal. I can't wait to get them and get my ribbon all organized!

Paula, did you try to order it from clip it up directly? I got mine from overstock.com. maybe they will ship to you.

Awww...I'm sorry. There shipping is extremely high so it would probably be cheaper for you to get them from another place anyway. According to the shipping costs to here (Canada) the shipping to Australia would probably be a weeks paycheck! LOL!

Thanks ladies, Clip It Up charge $150 postage & overstock don't have the ribbon organiser. I guess I will have to look home in Australia but the price is still $149 and I think I would prefer a Cameo machine instead of storage container.

Smile My Stampin Place

I finally cleaned My Stampin Place enough to take a few pictures. I moved my stamping supplies from my sewing room to one end of the basement family room and now I can spread out.
