Default Ribbons!

My ribbons were getting the best of me. I decided yesterday since we didn't have any electricity - thanks Sandy - that it was a good day to finally get to organizing my ribbon collection.
The first picture is what this bin looked like and the second picture shows what I reduced it to by winding the ribbons around a 3.5" x 2.5" piece of cardboard.
Since the object was to get all of my ribbons in the four bins that I have, I could leave some of the full spools alone. Love it, now that's it done. So much easier to find what I need.

I did something similar and I am amazed at how much space I am saving. It really takes a lot of room to hang onto all those spools. . .

First off, I hope you have your power back. We were out for 5 days and with the storm tomorrow, I am praying for those left in the cold. I love the way you organized your ribbon. I will have to look into doing something like that, as I have so much ribbon and it does take up space.
