Default Ribbon Rings

I had read at one time there was a way to make your own rings to store your ribbon on. I have been looking for that information and cannot locate it. It said something about cutting plastic rings of some sort to put your ribbon on and than put them on a hanger. Can anyone help me find this information. I know you can buy rings for ribbon, but right now I need to make my own...Could use some suggestions if no one knows of this information...
Thank You
Judy

I believe the girls posted a while back that they used a SU slit punch or something to make the "tags" to hold the ribbon. The rings you can find at the craft store for a buck or less.

Thanks for your idea, will have to figure out what they used to punch the slit in as it has to be strong enough not to bend. I do have some of the small rings, I have been reading all the organization tips and there are alot of smart things that you would never think of using..Thanks again.

I can tell you what I did. I got some embroidery floss (I think they are) cards and they are a plastic and not cardboard. I used my CropADile to punch holes side by side to make the "slit". The ribbon fits in their nicely. Then I used Command hooks (DH is freaky about holes in the walls) and attached them to the side of a tall book case I have in the room. I bought the book binding rings (I think thats what they are called) and I use them for my ribbon cards.

Default Ribbon Rings

Thanks so much for your information, I did draw my own design and cut them out with my Cricut. Used some heavier plastic pages and the slits cut out at the same time. Just needed to put the whole on the top for the ring...I appreciate all the suggestions. I don't have a lot of $$ so try and make what I need...I want to organize my room so need to think of alot of things I can do with stuff I have...
THanks so much for responding....
Judy

Judy, if you want to make your own ribbon card/tag thing, this is what I have used for many an item over the years: i clean and use the plastic from empty Tidy Cat litter bottles. It is easy to cut plastic but quite strong. Crop-A-Dile would punch right through it. Of course, you have to have a cat (or know someone that does) to make this work.
