Default Are you still wanting supplies?

Do you still need those things on your wish list?

I know it's that time of year that many of you are purging your crafting supplies that you no longer need or want. So, I am offering up a win-win suggestion. "The You Matter Project".

As some of you already know I am the founder of "The You Matter" card project here in upstate NY that makes cards for abused women and children. In May of this year we will be entering into our 8th year of the project. It's been a long hard journey for me, but I am so elated that something so horrific in my life has turned into something so enriching to so many people!

Up until 2014 - 2015, I had made most of the cards myself and personally supplied the few supplies we had. Then in July of 2015, "The You Matter Project" was honored to be the featured group for SplitCoast Stampers "Cards for a Cause". To our delight, we received a whopping 982 beautiful handmade cards from generous crafter's all over the world!!!

Because of this, the interest of those we help is ever increasing. All donations for the "You Matter Project" will be used for the storage of and/or making of cards by and for those who are helped by the project. I have a room specifically dedicated for items that people graciously donate for the "You Matter Project". Sometimes the items will be used in the form of group classes and sometimes they will simply be used by a single person or two who just needs a quite safe place to express their emotions through art.

Due to the limited financial situations of most of those that are helped by our project, and because of what we are trying to do with the project by empowering people, we do NOT charge anything to those who use the items. So, I am humbly asking all of you to PLEASE help us build our stash with your unwanted and extra items. I know that anything you could send to the project, no matter how small you think it is, would mean the world to those we serve.

Thank you for your consideration to Pay-It-Forward for a wonderful project!
For those of you wanting to send donations of cards, de-stash items, etc. to help "The you Matter Project", here is the address you can send them to:

Question Stamping Supplies

Hi Christi -

I am getting ready to retire and will be cleaning out a lot of items - esp. as my interests have gone more toward art journaling. I have lots of DP and embellishments that while dated - think Prima flowers - could still be usable. Would you be interested in these items? Also, I have some old issues of Papercrafts magazines that I've always saved for inspiration - would the ladies like to look through them for ideas?

I won't be offended if you aren't interested, so please just let me know - thanks

That cool Sweatshirt stamp and 3" zippers from Too Much Fun Stamps
More decoupage sheets that punch apart and layer
Hi Linda,

Embossed images sometimes makes the difference of whether or not some of our clients can color them.

As for the Sweatshirt stamp and the mini zippers from Too Much Fun Stamps.... I personally bought the stamp and some mini zippers for the teens. They love it! It's a rather large stamp though. You can stamp it on either plain cardstock or a heavier dsp if you want a patterned sweatshirt. Then when you cut it out and fold it, it makes a sweatshirt that you can either add the mini zippers to the front of it or you can add the mini buttons. They are really cute. If you check out their website, they show examples.

The decoupage sheets are sheets of a pre-colored image. They have numbered parts that you cut or punch out and layer to make the image 3-D. Sometimes they come as a free gift in the UK crafting magazines and such.

Since that post is only a month old, I'm assuming it's pretty current, right?
