Default Prismacolor pencils...

Last year I got a box of Prismacolor pencils for my daughter, and she uses them a lot for high school art, but the tin box they are in totally does not close. What would be a good way to store them and also so she could take them to school? I think theres 120, so it needs to hold that many!

75 of them will fit in a clamshell case (like the SU! stamp sets come in), so two of those and you're good to go. Cheap/free, too...

Dick Blick has a nice case that is zippered. I am not sure how much it is but I think they are having a sale on right now.

I have that 120 Zippered pencil case and I COULD NOT LIVE WITHOUT IT!! I'm on the move constantly and it is so handy. My pencil's stay in order and never break. I only wish there was some way I could store a sharpener with it.

I use the leather Global Classic cases from Dick Blick - they have elastic loops to hold the pencils and they zip closed, so they wouldn't be damaged going back and forth, shoved in a backpack, etc. The largest case holds 120 pencils.

Oh, just thinking... you can sometimes find the cases on ebay for a good price. I got one earlier this year for about $20 - they are $36 at Blick right now.

CostumeGal, welcome to Splitcoast!!!

Dini, I have a Global case as well. Do you put two pencils in each elastic band or three?

The maillady brought me some of the new colors on Saturday and I've been having such fun with them!

I put 3 in each loop. Some of the pencils like from Derwent are a little bigger though - they might only fit 2. Glad you got some new colors! I put them in my cart, but I'll wait a little while... I have been stress shopping and my MIL keeps commenting on how many packages are waiting for me at her house... heheh!!!

I wonder how many the SU! aqua colored tins would hold?? I'd bet they could easily hold 120.

Another vote for this case. Hobby Lobby has them too and you can use a coupon. I put 3 pencils per band. Works great.

thanks for all the ideas. I got the leather case today at Cheap Joe's art supply store, wish I had seen the note about it being at Hobby Lobby but I was there today also, and didn't see it. It was a bit of a splurge, but I think it will work great in the long run.
