I had a few companies that were really stuck on...Comotion was the worst. I peeled as much as I could and really went to work with an adhesive remover on the remaining foam/adhesive. I put the rubber on a HARD surface like a sheet of Masonite and worked at it while watching a movie. Its definitely a bother!

Good luck.

I agree with Diane - some are unbelievably permanently adhered! I recently bought some Fiskars cling stamps and the "cling" layer was warping the rubber, so I wanted to take it down to bare rubber. It took a couple of forevers ( and possibly a curse word or two  ) I only did the ones I was absolutely sure I'd use, and I'm giving the rest away - with the cling still on them!

I've had some cling stamps that were warped...almost like the cling cushion shrank or something. But so far they've come off okay, thankfully!

I used Goo Gone on some of the really tough ones. After all the adhesive is gone you have to really clean the rubber to remove the Goo Gone.

Does soaking them in water for a good long time damage the rubber?

You have to be careful with Goo be Gone, it changed some of the rubber on my stamps.
