Default Organizing Both Home & Mobile Crafting

I think I finally found a way to have a cute craft room with collectible pieces for organizing AND having a quick system for getting out the door with my supplies. I have dealt with this quandary for a decade and I really hope this year is my year for crafting success both at home and away!

Here is my new system if you'd like to see.

Easy on the go is a struggle for me, too. I've tried to be more realistic about what I'm going to accomplish while I'm out and about in recent years. I spend so much time getting ready to 'go-craft'.

Now, I usually only take images to color with me. I have a very small second set of markers that stay in a to-go pouch. I fretted about it for a while, but I'm on the go a lot (work, activities with my kids, riding into town - almost 2 hours each way - for shopping and such) and it's saved me a lot of time over the last year since I did it. Occasionally, I'll get a few cards cut and ready, then I spend the away time putting them together. If I'm going to scrapbook, I use the away time to just organize my photos or trim and insert into Project Life sleeves so the carry-around is minimized. I do the page accenting and such when I get back home.

I love your space and how you've used your storage to work for here/now and on-the-go! Good for you!

I love everyone's ideas so far.

I too have stuff that I cart back in forth to my friends house and retreats.
If there wasn't some sort of system. It would work.

Thanks for sharing your ideas.

Lori, good tips. I can't wait to do Project Life style for 2013! Still finishing 2012 though. I hope to use the page dividers and SU supplies.
