An FYI, regarding IKEA - VIKA items

We are remodeling our lower level ... and my work space and scrapbook area will be located in a portion of our family room. To keep the space neat and simplified, I've been planning what IKEA items I will be using. Now that I pretty much have my list together ......... IKEA is in the process of updating and discontinuing some items. :( So I thought I'd share with everyone here.

To my knowledge EXPEDIT items remains the same.

The VIKA series is being renamed to "LINNMON" [already has in our store]. One item that I know for sure is being discontinued is the VIKA GRUVAN. Once the item is sold out, it will no longer be available.

I was able to get the VIKA GRUVAN in black for $50 at my Ikea. I was so thrilled.

Great heads up. I remember last year going there to do my stamp room with it all done in my "head", armed with my list and, yep, my desk was no longer being carried. Now I am aware that they change things up, so if I LOVE something, I try and pick it up then. But, it all worked out great as I LOVE my desk that I picked up there and it wasn't even on my radar.

My *professional" movers decided on their own not to pack the Antonis Table Top...the one that has two front legs, attaching to two uprights. They threw it on the ground bc it only had 2 legs. When I saw, I had a meltdown bc the right leg brace was bent, chipped corners. I made them load it anyway. When I got settled...i went to IKEA...it was d/c.

I think a person w/ good skills can repair it.

Look at the table...that's what is damaged. It was perfect bc it could be raised or lowered depending if I wanted to stand or sit...using stand. Perfect height for me.
