Default IKEA

Ok, so I finally will get to go to one--closest is about 8 hours away, and since I'll be spending most of the month of May just about 30 minutes from IKEA...where do I start on what I really want/have to have/gotta buy? I have bygel rods, but that's it.

Would love to hear your ideas!
Dawn

I love my expedit shelves to organize my stamp stuff. The cd boxes and magazine boxes are a must to use inside each of the shelves. Four cd boxes will fit inside one square and one magazine box will fit inside one square of the shelf.

they have these drawers that are only about 3" deep, perfect for laying down indiv. stamps. with about 6 draawers total. I just got one that I need to assemble. they are often referred to as either sock drawers or map drawers.
They have the little glass jars that are perfect for storing button, flowers and other goodies and look so darling all lined up.
In the kichen area they have this about 14" bar magnet that mounts to the wall, used for holding knives...yeah well turns out its great for holding your CAD, pointy sharpy toolie thingy and anything else magnetiky.
basket to hang off your rods, the rods hold the stamps nicely but the hanging baskets are great for misc stuff like adhesive or brushes...
go early have breakfast there :-) and you'll be amazed at howw full your cart gets.

We are going to buy a house and I'll FINALLY have a stamping room all to myself! It's 33 x 15. I have one IKEA shelving unit (5 x 5) and it holds a TON of stuff. Shelves don't sag or anything. I'm looking for gallery pics that have people's stamping rooms on it so I can get some ideas. Where is it? Kat

Kat,

The stamping space gallery is under Special Collections.
Studios, Rooms and Craft Closets by barbfarmd at Splitcoaststampers
And here's a storage blog I like......
www.craftystorage.blogspot.com

Dawn,
Wear comfy shoes & cruise the website first. It is a little overwhelming but awesome!
The expedit line is great. Measure all things b4 you go. Have fun & congrats on your new room!

I have a ton of stuff stored in the Kassett boxes : http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/ca.../series/11496/
I love the label holder on each box. I did a big sort-n-reorganize in my stamping space a few months ago and used these boxes in three different sizes for a ton of stuff from clear stamp sets to roller stamps to envelopes, and each box is labelled. I also use the Bygel rods for punches and highly recommend the baskets that go with the rods.

The next big ticket item on my organizational wish list is the biggest Expedit unit - that'll be awhile coming, tho'!

Wink Bygel Rods

I have them in my stamp room. I hung them on my wall to hold ALL my punches. I didn't use them very much. Now that they are where I can see them I use them in my classes all the time. I have had them for 3 monthes the rods. I have sold more punches since I started using them in every camp. Also carry your templetes that we got at Convention last year. This shows the customer the size of each puinch. Happy Selling!!!

I like the paper/CD boxes that have already been mentioned. I also love the 9x9 (I think this is the size) black shadow box photo frames. I think they are $9.99 & great for framing scrapbook pages.

I love my expedit shelf! It holds my extra punches, glue, flowers...everything is in baskets and looks like it is organized when in reality it's just thrown in there!

I just LOVE Love love my hubby! I'm getting an Ikea table and chairs for my soon to be craft room. Currently we are storing a table and chairs for our daughter until she can move them into her townhouse this summer. The table is 59" x 29-1/2" and comes with 4 chairs. DH suggested that instead of moving them down to NJ and then buying a new set for me down there.....closest store to us.....to bring back, just give her the money to replace them. It's under $150! She's only an hour or so from the store.

This means I'll have to have friends come and play...woohoo!!!! and I can bring them downstairs if I need extra seating for workshops. Now if I can just get her furniture out of my guest room, soon to be craft room....

Those are great! Too bad the closest IKEA is 6 hours away :(

I went to their website and it seems they do not sell these online. I will have to try to find an alternative locally.

I bought my desks at IKEA! I also bought several other items like glass jars (to store prima flowers), book ends to divide my copic scorage, and much more.

Here are some pics: http://stopandstamptheroses.blogspot...ping-area.html
