I have been trying to organize some craft areas. I came across something I purchased awhile ago; and forgot about it. It is from a company called 'fibers by the yard' or FBTY
they had craft storage baggies that had a hole punched in them to add to a binder ring and all together on this binder ring. See pictures.
I want to do the same for my flowers; as I did for adhesive beads-organizing in plastic bag by color in each bag and putting onto a binder ring and store in a nice storage box; however, company doesn't seem to be in business anymore.
It is almost impossible to put a hole punch into a plastic ziploc bag.

picture1 is the inside of storage box with baggies storage I was able to purchase and had covers on binder rings with baggies that have hole to load to binder ring
picture 2 shows the adhesive beads categorized in a bags by color families
picture 3 keeps all stored in a neat box with crystal effects to color white beads and hints I want to add to a notebook for flower and bead ideas.
sure would like to find another source that makes these baggie storage or how to put a hole in plastic bag that can be put on binder ring.

ladies, you never cease to amaze us readers; these suggestions are great. I may use each and every one. I, also, learned something new, with Becca, and the hang tags you can add to bag; also the larger bags for long adhesive bling, from Il. Marge. thanks, gals, you are gems.

I recommend the Floss Away too. That's what I use to store my floss when working on projects.
Yes, you can punch holes in sandwich bags. I use to do it all the time.
If you have a Comic book store they also sell bags in nice quality in different shapes and sizes. I buy bags from those stores too. One of my old stores I would tell the owner what size bags I would need he could get them for me. I don't collect Comic Books but I like to use the bags to store gaming material & crafting materials in.
we live in very rural country and don't have a comic store even near by; but, would have been an idea. I have enough smaller bags; but, need the hanging ones prior mentioned, probably for long bling and larger flowers. I did try another hand punch and it did go through the bag; as you suggested; the first punch didn't. so, I should be able to put a collection together with these suggestions for flowers to keep on one binder ring, thanks everyone

I store my flowers according to colour in sandwich bags, but rather than punching a hole in them, I use a clip hook - the sort used for Clip It Up ribbon storage. This way, I can clip several bags of similar shades together. Also, it means I can store them on a rail attached to the underside of a shelf. I am more likely to use them if I can see them!
I was thinking maybe heaver weight plastic bags that either can punch or you can carefully use an awl to punch a hole and then use an eyelet to secure the hole so it wont tear. But then the hole has to be on the side you dont need to have open.
I started keeping the plastic that stamps and stuff come in...often with holes for the stores to hang it. But I am a box kid. I put the bags in a box. I dont have enough hanging room.
I've punched holes in plastic bags with a regular 1/4" punch like you find in office supplies stores. Insert an index card or piece of card stock into the bag and punch through both layers of the bag and the card all together. The card makes the bag sturdy enough to punch. You can move the card stock around (may need some trimming) till it's full of holes. Hope this helps.

thanks Kathleen for the next project idea; to do a binder ring of foam pads for distressed inks for me. Thanks for that idea also. International shipping would be rather spendy so would have to get these tabs in states here.

I used them to store all my cut & dry foams to keep them separate and labelled.
