Default Drawer Dividers

I have a box of the drawer dividers from the Michael's 2-drawer recollections white organizing cubes.

Any ideas for re-purposing these things?

I've got lots of them I'm not using in my freshly organized room!

Are they fiberboard (hard like the cubes) or are they like matboard (a little bit flexible)?

I think I would be tempted to save them for when you decide to subdivide your drawers. I bet you probably will sometime! ;)

Personally, I would use them along with some of the wood blocks that I never mounted stamps on and make a little mini-shelf to put somewhere. You could use it for Stickles, glitter, markers, individual wood-mounted stamps, knick-knacks - whatever! It would be useful, match what you already have, and free is the best price EVER!

They are the same material as the units, and very hard and not flexible at all.

I will keep some of them but I think I got 6 or 8 with each drawer, so about 12-16 per unit!

The dividers did come in handy when arranging my stickles, reinkers, glitter bottles, etc., in the drawers, but I used very few of them.

Sadly, the dividers go side-to-side in the drawer slots and not front-to-back. So, by the time you get to the back of the drawer with dividers, you can barely get the stuff out of the drawer without the whole drawer ending up on the floor!

Sadly, the dividers don't work in the bottom and sides of the 12x12 file drawers by the same company. They just aren't long enough, or I would line those two file drawers with the dividers and use them for something else since they're useless as a file drawer (almost impossible to open when loaded with paper or cardstock). The two file drawers were the biggest waste of money and the most useless purchase I've ever made in my craft studio!

Great idea for little shelves! I have tons and tons of wood blocks! I could paint the blocks white and they would be perfect. I have this corner on my desk full of different sized bottles of stamp cleaner, water, etc., and I am constantly knocking over a bottle of something when I reach into that corner. LOL

You are so good at re-purposing things!
