Default DIY Punch Storage Shelves

I had all of my punches out where I could see them (so I would remember to use them!), but wasn't lovin' the lack of aesthetic appeal. I also had a dresser that I loathed and despised. I reconfigured the drawers to make a shelving unit to put inside the closet in my work/craft/sewing room (see attached thumbnail). I used the dresser itself (sans drawers) to store alterable items in the unfinished (storage) side of my attic. There's more info, pics and a step-by-step on my blog, if you're interested...

Wow, Sue, I'm blown away. I'm trying to convert our large utility room into my stamp space. I have my punches in baskets and caboodle cases but they're taking up a lot of room on my precious shelf space. I have my childhood chest of drawers empty and begging to be used. I've been trying for 6 months to find a cheap way to store all those punches that would be user friendly for ME. I think this is it!
Thank you so much for posting pictures and the instructions on your blog. May God bless, Sandi

Thanks for the feedback, girls! I totally hear you on the user-friendly front, Sandi - that's pretty much what prompted this project. I get frustrated with "clutter" - makes me claustrophobic and kills my mojo - and my "real job" is tied to the interior design industry, so I was totally not loving looking at "utilitarian" things instead of pretty ones. I was trying to find a way that would eliminate having "ugly" things out all the time and also not having to dig through boxes, drawers (pet peeve, as mentioned in the blog post), etc. This was such a simple solution to execute - even someone who's never used tools before could do it! (Especially Shelving Unit #1, lol) Send me pics if/when you do yours!
