Hello and thanks for your note of encouragement. I am glad to be able to help my Mom, but get frustrated that part of it can't be when my husband is at work and my daughter is at school. I feel like they are being short-changed because I always keep her on their time off. I guess we just have to do the best we can. This is not what my mother would have wanted. She would have been the first to say to hire some more help when she was able to think clearly. I wouldn't think of putting her in a nursing home, but wish we could get some help on the weekends. This is my daughter's senior year and she will be gone soon. I can't get this time back. I hope things go well with you and your mom and you have a good Christmas.
Susan I understand, I am in the same situation with my Mom, I am in the sandwich generation, I take out the car seatsfrom my car for my grandkids to put my Mom's walker in. She is requiring more care and she is in her own home, it gets very busy at times, but I know she sacrificed a lot for me and I am blessed to have this time with her, but that doesn't mean I don't get weary. Keep on keepin on and know that it is all going to work out. I have been caught crafting in the middle of the night when I can't sleep. Hope things get easier for you and blessings to your family for loving your mother so much
