Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I've lived on Long Island since 1962 and having moved out of the city when I was a teenager was tough. No people in the streets, no noise except for the damn crickets. Drove me crazy. I'm out in Patchogue and have been for the last 38 years. Got used to living on LI and it's becoming more city like. Too many people, too much traffic, but still no noise.
I just friended you. I have ZERO friends on SCS because I just don't think it's a site where you need to "friend" people. HOWEVER how can I NOT friend somebody from Brooklyn!! I was born in Ridgewood Brooklyn. Lived at 180 Stockholm St. (between Knickerbocker Ave and Dekalb Ave) and moved when I was 12 to Rockaway Beach. I will ALWAYS be a Brooklyn girl!! Loved growing up there. I'm italian and all of the friends on my block were italian so I thought everybody was italian - lol.
