Hope this works ok... I don't see anything for Thinking of You cards. Do you have some for that? I do cards for my church, a lot of thinking of you and get well. I saw the get well.

Thanks so much Shelba, these are wonderful. They will be listed on the next update. I am hoping to get an update up this week. Thanks again and enjoy.

They're a little longer than the ones I see in the list, but they were
perfect for my needs. I hope someone else can use them.

Love Lives On

Those we love are never really lost to us--
we feel them in so many special ways--
through friends they always cared about
and dreams they left behind,
in beauty that they added to our days...
in words of wisdom we still carry with us
and memories that never will be gone...
Those we love are never really lost to us--
for everywhere their special love lives on.

for great bereavement.
I will not try it.
Time is the only comforter

Hi all!
I hope someone can use these.

This was the sentiment I used in a card for my husbands
tai chi teacher. I used the kanji symbol for peace and a
border of bamboo. I thought it turned out very pretty
but of course, I didn't take a picture.....

Wishing you Peace
and
Energy as you heal.
Get well soon!

2 Another get well message.

May the many Healing Thoughts
and Get Well Wishes
offered by family and friends,
help speed Good Health back to you.

3) This next one would work for a Get Well card or
if you leave off the "get well" message it makes
a nice, simple, text for sympathy cards.

May you always have Faith
in the Power of Prayer;
and take comfort in knowing the Lord hears our every plea.

Get Well Soon!

Delia,
This is simply amazing. I just looked at a print preview ... it would take 113 pages to print this whole document. Thank you so much for your hard work to maintain this to share!

Has anyone thought of sentiments for Clergy Appreciation Month? It's coming up in October. I will probably find something under Thank-Yous.

Thanks again!

Hi csjh,

When I update just save the new copy, all the old sentiments will be there. I add new ones and then put them in alpha order. If you find mistakes, just let me know, I will change them so they don't show up future updates. Does this make sense?

You are welcome Estella when I thought of starting this I was thinking of using word, but quickly changed my mind when I saw the number. There are a lot of great sentiments in there and it's easier, I think, broken up by tabs in Excel. Enjoy and if you come across any sentiments or even mistakes, please list them here and I will add it to the next update. I update every so often.

Hi Delia: I have not been on here for awhile to contribute...I found this poem when I was cleaning out my wallet. It came from a relative's wake I attended about 3 months ago...it is a great tribute to all of the mothers out there.

"Masterpiece"

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of ages,
The power of an eagle's flight.
Then God combined these qualities,
Making something like no other.
His masterpiece is now complete,
He lovingly called it Mother.

Hope all is well!

Here are a couple that I came across in an e-mail. Just thoughts to ponder . . .

If I could sit on the porch with God,
the first thing I would do is thank him for you.

Be kinder than necessary,
for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Again, thanks for pulling this together!

Default Thanks (with more to add!)

Delia,

Your work here is such a welcome and fantastic find! I didn't want to just say thanks without adding to the wealth! I hope you can use this, it was found on a "Walter Drake" greeting card:

Outside
The Seven Wonders of Christmas
  • The family we love
  • The friends we find
  • The faith we hold
  • The life we're given
  • The hope of heaven
  • The joy of grace
  • The gift of Jesus
Inside Left
May thanks and praise be gifts we give
most freely this Christmas season.

Inside Right
Share a heart of thankfulness
at Christmas for the heaven-sent
gifts of family, friendship, faith,
and most of all,
for the grandest gift on earth...
Jesus our King.

Thanks again for all this wonderful and time-consuming work. The contributions of so many are such a blessing and your work is even more of a blessing!

I could have used this one a couple of weeks ago. I don't normally forget important people's birthdays, but for some reason one slipped past me. This would have been a really great sentiment! Thanks for sharing it...I'm sure it will go into the list so I'll have it for the next time I mess up!

Here's one I think is funny:

I love this quote, it's under birthdays, I believe. Thanks for contributing.

Hello Delia: I just could not believe finding this 'treasure trove'. What a lot of work. Thanks so much for sharing. I have a question. I sell my cards at a local craft market. May I use your sayings on cards that I sell?

Thanks again.
