I have this saying on a placque (sp? - doesn't look right) that my Grma gave me at my wedding shower.

"Love is two hearts making their dreams become one."

Hope you like it!

Hi Kathy,
In the first post is the list of sentiments. Look under the pregnancy tab, there aren't many there, but I thought the first one was good.

I used this sentiment inside a wedding card I made for my daughter.
THE BEAUTY OF LOVE:

The question is asked, "Is there anything more beautiful in life than a boy and a girl clasping clean hands and pure hearts in the path of marriage? Can there be anything more beautiful than young love?" And the answer is given. "Yes, there is a more beautiful thing. It is the spectacle of an old man and an old woman finishing their journey together on that path. Their hands are gnarled, but still clasped; their faces are seamed, but still radiant; their hearts are physically bowed and tired, but still strong with love and devotion for one another. Yes, there is a more beautiful thing than young love. Old love."

I added: I wish you old love.

Wow! Far too many to go through them all! Hope I'm not repeating any.

This wonderful thread is so long, that I didn't take time to read everything so I don't know if this one is already on the list. It's a stamp I believe from Biblical Impressions:

There are many reasons for you to get well, Your family loves and needs you, your family is worried about you...........your family is totally unsupervised in your kitchen!

Thanks for all the work done on this thread and all the people who've contributed. Now I have a great place to come when I need a verse for the inside of a card. I'm not a poet or an author so this will be GREAT!

thanks there are more to come. I have some stuff I am working on that some nice SCSers sent me. I am just putting it into catagories. That's what takes me the longest. If you come across any, feel free to post them here and I will add them, if they are not on the list already.

Wow, Delia! You are awesome, girl! I was looking for a sympathy card sentiment, lost the old thread, found you here from a fellow SCSer, and. . .

I can't believe how much work you put into this. Thank you sooo much, girl. You know we appreciate you! Kel

Default Thanks Kelly!!!

Thanks Kel, many SCS have contributed to this list, either by posting here or sending them to me in attachments. SCSers are the best. I have used this list over and over again and when people read the inside of their cards, they really appreciate it and sometimes laugh out loud. Some of these sentiments are hysterical and some will make you cry. Please enjoy and use at will. Hugs Delia

When you add these to cards, and they are beautiful sentiments, do you hand write them or type them out, or what? Always at a loss as to what to say. This definately helps. Thanks to all who added to the list.

Default I print

Hi SusieQ,

My handwriting is AWFUL,LOL. I print them out on a piece of Cardstock and then cut the card stock to fit the inside of my card. If I don't mount the senitment I cut the paper to 5 1/4 x 4 or if I mount it on another color, I cut the mount to the 5 1/4 size and make the sentiment cardstock 5 x 3 3/4. Hope this helps.

If you have beautiful handwriting by all means write it in, it's much easier.

Default Inside semtiment for New Daddy

My son just became a new daddy 3 weeks and I am looking for a sentiment for the inside of my card for his first Father's day. I made one of those really cute shirts that everyone was raving about, but now need some help with a sentiment to put inside. Any help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I need to send off the card tomorrow.......................... I know I seem to come up with these great ideas always last minute. Any help would be great.

Cheryl

I kind of like this one. I'm sure you've heard it before. "Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a daddy."

Susie,
Thank you so much. I have heard of this one and actually ordered my son a tshirt with that printed on it. Unfortunately, the company didn't ship it in time and it won't be here for Father's day. I'm really bummed about that. I ordered it over 2 1/2 weeks ago! I wanted to get the card off to him since he lives out of town so at least he won't think we forgot about him. Thanks for the quick response.

Sincerely, Cheryl

great ideas. I sometimes print out my sentiments on cardstock but other times, I put on regular white paper. Then I stick it like regular. It depends on how the stands. I find it doesn't weigh the card down so it slides flat.

Other times I handwrite sentiments. I didn't go to 12 years of Catholic school for nothing!!!

does anyone have sentiments for the troops. I always send my brother cards where he is stationed in Iraq but, I don't want to sound like a broken record! I am sure I have repeated my sentiments to him.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I would appreciate some...

Thanks
