Here is one I saw today on the net ~ it would be good for either encouragement or congratulations!

Thanks again for pulling this together!

How do you all put your sentiments on the inside of the cards? Do you stamp them out? print directly on the card (with printer) or print on another piece of cardstock and then paste in... or do you just hand-write it? Or another solution I haven't thought of....

Hi Delia: I've got 2 more sentiments that can either go on the front or inside of a card. These are both from a company called Lang (based out of WI) and they sell the most beautiful card sets - this is before I got into stamping. I guess this can go into the friends category.

When I made my sympathy card, I just printed the sentiment directly to cardstock - cut out the size I needed and adhered to the inside of the card OR you can directly print on the cardstock you are using as your card base. You just have to adjust your margins and font size to make sure you can fit the sentiment in the card (I used MS Word and adjusted the margins). Before printing on cs, you might want to print out on scrap paper first to make sure you have everything the way you want it so you are not wasting cs. Hope that helps!

For those of you looking for some cool fonts, check out www.scrapvillage.com. Delia, again, you are so awesome for putting this great list together! Thanks so much!

Alma,
I love both those sentiments. The first I put under Miscellanous, couldn't decide where to put it the second went under friends. Thanks so much.

That is what I do Skyetarr. Thanks alma for your help. I am falling behind because I had no computer at work for a few days. I only can do SCS at night. Hopefully we will be up and running tomorrow, I was able to borrow someones computer for half and hour today at work, but it's not mine so I am behind. Alma thanks for the font info. I will download those in the next few days. thanks all for being such a great group.

Here is one I saw on the Internet:

Tea beside the fire,
Laughter to cheer you,

This is so great. I have a couple of comments.

When I opened the first 2 files I could only see Sympathy sentiments - could not scroll to anything else. #3 seems fine so I intend to download that one. Thank you again for contributing and organizing. Wonderful.

This is what I do for completing the inside of the card. And I know this is personal preference!
When possible, I print two verses on a piece of cs - depending on the shape of the card, top or left fold - I place them along the right side or at the bottom, using a 2 column set up - landscape or portrait. At first, I printed a line or two on scratch paper to make sure of placement, but now I use the original for a template.

For adding later: I like vellum and parchment, but just don't use them much. If I have printed on cardstock I like to "fix them up" before adhering to the card. Tearing or cutting with decorative scissors is one way. I also like to tint the edges using a sponge with chalk or ink. You can also use strips of mulberry paper or fibers under the edges before adhering. I think it is possible to use verses cut from store bought cards you receive. Or at least copy them for your own use.

Hope some one can use these ideas.

HI Dorothy,
The tabs are listed at the bottom in the excel file, did you click on another tab? Each tab has something else. All three files are the same, they are just in different formats to help people who may not have excel.

Here is one for Easter:

Jelly beans, colored eggs
and a chocolate bunny.
Here's hoping that your
Easter day is very
sweet and sunny!

This is a cute one - A mountable word hunt for an Easter card:

B A S H T E E
B U B Y U B G
A M N G O I G
S H U N T S S
K A N C Y E O
E E G G B U T
T E A S T E R

1. Easter
2. Bunny
3. Eggs
4. Basket
5. Bonnet
6. Hunt

St. Patrick's Day - Friend sentiment -

May God give you...
For every storm a rainbow,
for every tear a smile,
for every care a promise
and a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
a faithful friend to share,
for every sigh a sweet song
and an answer for each prayer.

- Irish Blessing

For a new baby -

A new baby is like the
beginning of all things -
wonder, hope,
a dream of possibilities.

Thank you so much Alma, I will add these and update with what I have so far. I am working off a list that I received and there are so many...It's taking a while and I haven't been very active since my son came down with the flu. He broke his fever today (5 days). It's a great birthday present to me .

Default DO YOU HAVE A FILLING FOR THAT LINE.

[QUOTE=dazzling20] "Why would you want something so common as money when you can have something so rare as ________". I came up with this one myself, I can't seem to fill in the blank. Would "love" work? I don't want to say "love is rare" or should I say "so precious as family or love"

Any comments??? Thanks[/QUOTE

This one is so funny and it would work so well for one of my brothers. I just wish his birthday was sooner than December. Maybe I could alter it for him for Father's Day. . . I just can't wait!

Love this one. and it so fits. I make the cards and my artist dh does the envelopes. He makes fancy designs with each letter of the recipient's name. His envelopes are a piece of art.

Smile Easter Quotes

I forgot that I had saved some Easter quotes from last year:
You'll wake up on Easter morning and you'll know that he was there when you find those choc'late bunnies that he's hiding ev'rywhere.

--Gene Autry

Easter bunny soft and white, hopping quickly out of sight. Thank you for the eggs you bring, at Easter time to welcome spring. Yellow eggs and blue and red in the grass and flower bed, we will hunt them everywhere. Is it really you who put them there? (Unknown)

The resurrection gives my life meaning and direction and the opportunity to start over no matter what my circumstances.

I have heard that a few times, so it sounds familiar, I will look at the Master list I have and do a search. It's a great quote quote if it's not there I will add it. thanks so much.

I will have an update soon, sorry I have been busy with a few swaps and work. Thanks all.

I checked the list and I have one that is slightly different under Miscellanous. Thanks so much, I added it to the list. I will have to separate Miscell at some time and add a thinking of you tab. I will try and do it next update. thanks all

This is one of my favorites:

Here’s to becoming
More beautiful
With each passing year,
And discovering
The value of who you are
Deep within your soul.

Thanks so much, these are great. I will go over them and since I will put them in excel I will be able to sort and weed out duplicates. Thanks so much, I am really behind now.

Delia, you're doing an awesome job with these quotes. Thank you so much for the time and effort that goes into this project. And thanks to everyone else who contributed to the list. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.
