Did you want religious or 'bunny' ? I did a search for Easter Verse and came up with these for starters. You just need to scroll down each page to see the verses. Lots to choose from!
Thanks for your help I will try that but I really like to learn how to do it right on the card. Anybody?
Linda
Oh, I can help! Here is something I posted last year, and I still use it frequently:
Go to http://www.avery.com Go under Software (in the bluebox at the top of the page) then "Templates"--this is great for setting up blank templates for invites, postcards, etc. Type 8387 in the box for Search by Product Number, and it will bring up templates for a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 postcard in landscape or portrait. Download the template into Word, and you're off! They also have the templates for Adobe. If stuff isn't lining up just right, be sure to check the cell alignment (right click on the cell, then you can check/change it). There are also many other templates that could be used for toppers, name tags, table tents, place markers, books, sentiments for cards (using a really cute font), circle stickers (that fit onto round metal edged tags), and tons of other things! The possibilities are endless! And you don't even need the stickers--print your stuff out on cardstock, cut, and ta-dah!! HTH!
ps: you can even use this to print on the inside of your card--just print in the right half of the page...top or bottom, and this will be the inside of the card! If you want to print on the front and inside, you have to run your paper thru the printer twice, because you print the front, then turn your paper over run it thru again to do the inside. And unless you are really good, you'll have to play with it on a piece of typing paper to see how things have to be turned and run thru the printer--but believe me, it can be done!!!
***Since posting this the first time, you now have to download things a little differently, but it will be easy-peasy! ***
***and be sure to save the blank template into Word so you have it whenever you need it!***
HTH!

You are like the coffee bean that actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. You are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you. When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest you have elevated yourself to another level.
May we all be coffee!
(I don't know the source for this, but I love the sentiments.)
on the micheal j fox doc show the other night ,
he made a comment about
"rejecting the bonds of fear"
ooh chills right...?
I couldn't let it go
and in my mind it became
" I welcome every opportunity to reject the bonds of fear"
because I like to start affirmations positively...
-for example it doesn't feel positive and affirming to say "I hate war" in the same way it feels good to say "I embrace peace"-
but I really liked the active connotation and 'word strength' of "reject"
it was a great documentary:
It felt like a card from a friend!
```````````````````````````````````
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I also like the saying
(funny for a landlocked prairie girl)
" I do not fear the storm, for I am learning to sail my ship"
sorry, I do not know the origin...
"Happy Mother's Day" also comes to mind LOL!

First off I'd like to wish all you Moms out there a very Happy Mother's Day. While blurfing this morning I found this quote. Since both of my kids live out of state, I found it especially moving.
“When you were small and just a touch away, I covered you with blankets against the cold night air. But now that you are tall and out of reach, I fold my hands and cover you with prayer.” -Dona Maddux Cooper
Thanks for this thread. I have been making wedding cards of late and this is a greeting that I wrote and am happy to share since I have gained so very much from this site over the years:
From this day forward you will share
The blessing of marriage
All through the years.
The joy of shared laughter,
The pathos of shared tears,
You’ll lean on one another and
Grow stronger through your fears.
A marriage is made of many parts
It’s an adventure that begins
With these promises of the heart.
The commitments that you make today
Will both strengthen and nourish.
When renewed again each day.
May your happily ever after begin with a beautiful today!

Does anyone have a cute saying for a lady (my daughters' boss) who is having knee surgery?? She has a good sense of humor. I made one of those cute flower pot cards for her and now I need something to write into. Thanks for any help, oh, she is having surgery this coming Tuesday, May 19th. Would get well soon work?
I want to do an engagement card and I have a question. When I was little my mom always said it was rude to say congratulations to a women when she got engaged because it was like saying "boy are you ever lucky you got a man". Has anyone heard of this? Is it just old-fashioned?
Hey this is a great post. I'm glad I found it searching for sayings. Do you know if there are sayings listed for "thinking of you" cards? I couldn't find any when I looked at the spreadsheet but I could have missed them??? Thanks so much for doing this. It will be so helpful. Have a wonderful day!

I will use this in the future. I think it is perfect. I don't like giving cards that say "get well". Just my personal preference. I especially don't use 'get well' for people with chronic illness.
Does anyone have any ideas for a quote/poem/etc that could be used inside a card for someone who is like a mother? I request from someone at work for a bday card, and she wants it to say something with "you're like a mother to me"...
Thank you in advance!!!

You have a very special place,
that no one else can fill...
because you mean so much to me,
and you know you always will!
You're loved with a love that grows,
from one day to another.
Because you have been, and you will always be,
just like a dear and wonderful mother to me!
"As I count my blessings, I can't help but think of you. Thank you for the difference you have made in my life."
"Mother love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible." - Marion C. Garretty I can honestly say you have been like a mother to me!
Thanks
One of my favorite expressions is "I have loved the stars to fondly to be fearful of the night." Just not sure how that would fit in to a card, or what type of card...
One I have used in scrapbooking is:
Funny how a photograph
Can take you back in time,
To faces and embraces
That you thought you'd left behind.
You have a very special place,
that no one else can fill...
because you mean so much to me,
and you know you always will!
You're loved with a love that grows,
from one day to another.
Because you have been, and you will always be,
just like a dear and wonderful mother to me!

I added the last line!
Thank you for these!!!

Is there a chance that you could copy and paste this information onto a different format or email it to me at shorti503@msn.com. I can't open something in excel but would love to have this. Thanks!
