IC05 - Red Skirt (Inspiration Challenge)

Inspiration Challenge #5 (IC05)

Today's inspiration comes from a skirt I recently bought for my DD. I fell in love with the skirt months ago, but they didn't have her size. A couple weeks ago I checked again and they had it -- yeah!

The skirt (see attached image below) looks hand-dyed with touches of gold on it. I just love the style and look.

I took my inspiration from the colors and gold touches. Here is my inspiration piece:

Now let's see what you are inspired to make. Feel free to translate the inspiration item into a card, a scrapbook page, or another project. Be inspired by the colors, the theme (middle-eastern or gypsy), or by a memory-jog you get!

Happy Stamping!

Karen! Your card perfectly captures the essence of that GORGEOUS skirt!

Here's mine....

I just finished my card. The raspberry red that I used turned out to look more like hot pink. But I think the dress would be a lovely addition to your wardrobe.

Now I need to go back to hanging wallpaper ....not quite wallpaper. I'm putting up kraft paper in torn chunks, then will paint over for a sort of antique texture. Sometimes I think that I watch too much HGTV. Not!

I love your card! Thanks for playing!

I doubt this card will stand out in the gallery but I sure like it in real life! I think white embossing powder is as elegant as one can get.
Thanks for the inspiration Karen!
Hey, Garnet...how about a picture when you get that job done, it sounds really nice.

Wow! Thank you all for playing! You've come up with some great designs!

This is my first inspiration challenge. What fun! The picture looks more orange than red & IRL it's much darker. I sponged black ink over the white ep, so it really toned down the brightness.
