Inspiration Challenge 48 - Book Illustration

This book illustration comes from Elmer and Wilbur by David McKee.

My card.

There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild -- be *inspired* and go get stamping!

REMINDER: Please put IC48 in the keywords box when you upload your card (no space b/n IC and the challenge number) . If you have more than one keyword use a comma to separate them. Thanks!

Don't forget about No Upload Sunday Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little on your favorite site). Thank you!!

Karen, I don't have an elephant but I sure have lots of colors to play with. My head is starting to turn with ideas. Great inspiration piece. Thanks!

Kittie - my card doesn't use elephants (and I have them)...I just loved the idea of color next to black and white.

Remember folks, your card does *not* need to be a replica, just have fun with what you see!

I'll be away today (being a helper elf to my mom the demo - two stamp camps in one day!) but will check the postings at lunch and tonight.

Have fun!!

Love this one, Karen--so bright and colorful. I was caught by all the colored checks so headed straight for my checked backgrounder.

This was not a fun challenge for me today. I spent way too much time trying to get my card to work and finally decided to go with a clean look. Here's my bird print.

I should have looked at the illustration again before doing my card. Mine is kind of in left field...
It is not really what I had visualized, but will put it here anyway. Please be kind! I have a lot of trouble with this challenge, but it was fun trying.
I did triplets instead of twins - just seemed like a better plan.
