How about a trip to Italy! I know you probably don't have the time (or the extra cash) to just run off to Italy with me this weekend, so I've got the next best thing in this week's inspiration site: VIETRI is an Italian website delightfully filled with inspirational design wonders! Not only is everything absolutely BEAUTIFUL, but they are also HANDMADE. Wow! That makes it all the better to me! FYI: I personally believe that Italy has pottery and tableware mastered (in the same way that France knows cheese & wine-LOL)! I'm sure you'll appreciate the mixture of soft and bright color palettes, the loads of textures, and especially the variety of patterns found there which are sure to get your creative juices flowing!
Here's a hint for getting the hyperlinks for your upload descriptions. Looking at the images, click on the thumbnails until you've got the big picture that you like on the right side. Then right click on your mouse, or Command Click with a Mac, and select "Copy Image Address". That will put the hyperlink on your clipboard so that you can paste it into your description when you upload your card!
Challenge Goals:
Don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image reminds you of it. Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today. Please be sure that all of your descriptions have a link back to your inspiration piece available only from VIETRI .
Use the keyword: IC463 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded five of my favorites...so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger. Please let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge.
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
Wow Audrie! Great site! I am filled with all kinds if inspiration! Unfortunately, I am going to be busy all day for the next two days. :( Maybe I will get to come back to it Monday.
I very much enjoyed visiting Italy via the Vietri store, such fun and thank you ladies for a great inspiration place to spend some time while having coffee this Saturday morning - have a great day, here is my card:
My cousin Sue passed away yesterday, we as the Tea Potter's group did a card drive for her in December 2013 - and then I think a stash a month or so ago. She finally went to be with the Lord. I loved this inspirational sight and chose this one to honor Sue:

I'm more of a Northern Europe girl myself; if I had a chance to go abroad I would choose Scotland or Germany. But I did find a great inspiration with this piece:Antica Roma Decorative Large Wall Plate | VIETRI

I found so much inspiration at Vietri that I could easily make a dz cards! An ornament reminded me of a stamp set I bought and never used as yet and the colors and print of a napkin reminded me of some pretty SU dp my friend Kris sent me. Love it when those thoughts come together in our heads when we are inspired, don't you?
